Ok name the schemes that are different? Like somebody reinvented the route tree bc they decided to go 5 wide. The crazy part is that the teams with the power run concepts win the natty every year. Aint that some shite. Just bc its run out of shotgun doesn't mean it aint power.

He didn't say that. You're assuming. Steele is very much respected by NFL and college coaches, by recruits and his players. The respect he's earned is because of his coaching ability. He develops players and is considered very smart with all technical aspects of football.

He may can coach but he seems to have bad luck or results when it's a higher position outside of position coach.

Shoot even as a DC at Bama they were awful, then he got demoted and they went 12-2 following it

Come on now u can't compare HS to College. I can say why did Karr win it all in Jabbars last year. Supremely talented. And u know damn well that St. Aug didnt have the best front 4. You remember when we blitzed STM to generate pressure. The secondary was the strength of that team.

Booger said Alabama would beat OSU. That didn't happen.
Booger might be right about the recruiting, but the DC has to call good plays to confuse the offense and to give the players an opportunity to be in a position to make a play.
This guy does not seem to have a history of good play calling.
I hope he succeeds, but his history is concerning.

Why he keep getting demoted and fired until now?

It's one thing to get fired as a first time HC. It may be okay to get demoted as first time DC. How good is your resume when you got fired, demoted, fired?

Take LSU out of the equation. That's a good resume?

Are you seriously denying that many CFB offenses look vastly different than in the 90s? Regardless, downplaying the importance of coaching & scheming is ridiculous. How did LSU's D suddenly improve from '08-'09? Sudden jump in talent coincidental with Chavis' hiring?

But he played at LSU and has SB rings. He's gotta be right.

Coaching, unimportant. Then let's fire all the coaches and let the player organize practice and call their own games.

Context would be he went from DC with Saban in 1st year to co-DC with Saban 2nd year. Saban must have liked what he saw.

Look and what they are actually doing are two different things. Having co defensive coordinators pulling a defense two different ways is not the way to go. Especially if its BDP. shite almost never works.

No, he was Co-DC in Sabans second year, won the West, went 12-0, before Urban beat them. Urban beat Smart and company again this year............
