With the stable of RB's that we have. Could this move be possible?

it really is grade A. I'd not seen him mentioned at safety before.

Seems like a STUPID move and not something I would think is in HIS or the team's best interest.

~3 RBs will do most of the playing and we'll have 2 (or more) quality backups.... there's never too many.

I like and fully encourage competition and Miles and his coaches have seemingly done an excellent job with the RBs regarding that... I have not seen 1 comment about "I need more PT... so and so, blah, blah, blah....

Gore potentially leaving may be a sign that he did not see the future he liked in the position at LSU... which means we are strong... b/c he seemingly was a good RB... just not AS GOOD as ~4 guys in front of him.

Alfred Blue is a quality SEC RB... he'll make his best contribution for LSU at that position... IMO.

If we have any chance for spread offense, they need blue.

How many RBs have been moved to defense since Miles got here?

They should move him to QB to run the new spread offense.

What did Gore do that made you think he was good? He got like 4 carries and had a fumble.

Next year we will have
Ware, Ford, Blue, Hilliard, Mcgee and Hill. THats a lot of backs. I think blue could play safety or LB but wont get moved, and i think the risk of turning a good RB into something isn't is too great.

IMO, Blue will be a successful NFL RB, regardless of how much PT he gets.

Agreed. Plus, he is one of our best special team players which will help him in the pros

no. I'd think the staff would rather have one of the best 3rd/4th running backs in the SEC than a Junior 3rd string project at linebacker (or safety). A move to WR would be more likely than a switch to defense, but he's going to be a running back all the way.
