Who do you have down as the best RB LSU has ever witnessed? Who you got?

Ol'Billy was good enough to prompt a merger between the then AFL with the NFL, so it's not like he couldn't compete today, but I gotta say, LF7 looks like a fast version of Adrian Peterson, so I'm going with him as the GOAT RB @ LSU.

Canon doesn't make the top list until probably 7-8.

The raw talent of guys today is better than it was when only white guys were allowed to play. It is the reality and it doesn't take anything away from all that Canon accomplished.

Fournette will eventually be the clear #1 when he is done here.

The best running until now since Cannon was Charles Alexander.

Collins is still the biggest what if.

Not even close. Cannon if in his prime today probably couldn't play highschool ball.

Cannon was still a great athlete and had power and speed

That's just silly. He was a 230 lb running back with world class speed, in an era when sports nutrition, sports medicine, and year round training didn't exist. Give Cannon the kind of off the field preparation these guys have, and he'd excel at this level. Would he be the GOAT? Maybe not, but he'd be elite.

Cannon played against an SEC that was full of inferior athletes, so his level of competition was not like that of today. However, Cannons measurables are comparable to the best backs ever to play in the league. His size, strenth, and believe it or not, speed are right there with the best of all time. His 100 yard dash time was incredible.

This is just fricking silly. Didn't he run like a 10 flat 100?

Fournette is the most dominant offense skill player I've ever seen at LSU and I've been watching them since the late 60's.

Just a decent athlete in the 1950s with a lucky run... nothing to see here.

I don't disagree about LF, but Josh Reed had some games where he simply could not be covered.
