Good to know TeamSwag is still being vigilant. I'm sure some of you lifetime members will be trying to convince us at some point that he had an awesome game on 1/9.

Given how I feel about the upcoming 2012 game vs. Bama I can only imagine how an LSU football player feels about that game. Any athlete wants a chance to redeem him/herself and the opportunity to do that in front of a home crowd makes this the easiest game in history for a coach to get his players mentally ready for.

They lost in front of millions. I am not sure of this undressing BS. The offense expected to do what they had done all season and couldn't. If you were humiliated with a loss then that's on you.

Wonder if FBaum gonna make any bets again. He said last year he would walk to Baton Rouge barefoot if LSU won the SEC.

The loss on 1/9 WAS embarrassing and, in many ways, inexplicable.
Alabama gets bragging rights, and if you're a buffoon of a Birmingham journalist, I suppose you might determine that you have a right to pose questions like that.

The downside to losing the mulligan game is we have to put up with this kind of crap, until November.
I intend to diary up the name of this Homer reporter and check in on him after the game in Baton Rouge...

It's a valid question and one that a lot of tiger fans may be asking

No its not a valid question. Its something that only Bama fans believe, that after losing to them, a program spirals downard never to recover. Its the height of their arrogance.

It was a bad loss, no doubt, but it was no worse than Florida losing to Nebraska 62-24. The next year Florida was #1 most of the year, lost late at FSU, but still won the MNC (after lucking into a rematch, sound familiar

tOSU lost in embarassing fashion to Florida in 2006 and was back for another BCS CG beatdown the following year. They made it to BCS bowls in each of the 3 seasons after losing to LSU.

Why would anyone, except Bama fans, think the loss will linger for LSU?

BUT, ask miami, ask nd how they have been doing since the whippings we putt on them in bowl games

meaningless and out of context any way. ND lost their QB after that game, Miami was clearly already sliding. We could sit here all day and list teams that got their asses kicked in bowls or other big games and did just fine.

Another example, Duke lost by 30 to UNLV in the 1990 NCAA Tourney. They beat UNLV the following year on route to back to back titles..

There's nothing inaccurate or even remotely 'stupid' about what he wrote.

Ah, the Self/Miles loathing fans chime in.

What he wrote is shite fans, not journalists, not even columnists should write. Its inflamatory and basically nonsense. The only place the "negative" energy exists is in the minds of delusional gumps and the anti-Miles squad.

I have seen bad losses make teams quit all the time. We did it to Miami and Notre dame, Ohio state. Bama did it to Texas and ran urban Meyer out of the conference

Ohio State? When did this happen? They lost to Florida 41-14 and made it back to the BCS CG. After losing that to LSU they still won 10 games and made it to a BCS bowl. The next year they won the Rose Bowl, the year after that, they tied for the B1G title and went to the Sugar.

Programs fall off all the time. Its usually because they lose good players and the coaches didn't do a good job recruiting and maintaining the program, not because of some bad loss.

92 yards and zero points, the first shutout in the BCS's 14-year, 62-game history

Tigers quarterback Jordan Jefferson threw for 53 yards, was sacked four times, intercepted once and lost a fumble

I could go on, if you'd like.

A legitimate question.

And hopefully a massive chip on the shoulder of the 2012 LSU Fighting Tigers.

I live in Alabama and even I know not to waste my time reading one single line from any "writer" located in Mobile, Birmingham or Huntsville.

The worst poster on this site has as much if not more knowledge than any of those hacks. Seriously, if they make minimum wage, then in this case, the law needs to be changed because they are waaay over paid.

Also, to clarify:

2011 LSU was NOT...

Repeat..

WAS NOT the "best team in BCS history". Not even close.

2011 LSU dominated the best SEASON in BCS history, yes, but not the best overall team. The best overall BCS team does not have a QB named JJ or JL. Sorry.
