yea. but we gave them the game tonight. poor defense, poor baserunning and poor hitting. we just can't hit a sac fly to save our arse.

I understand where you're coming from. This LSU team was not expected to do well and only had one returning starter in the field from last year. They did very well and played above their heads towards the end of the season.

CCU out coached, out hustled, and out hit LSU for two straight games.

LSU has the better talent but CCU is more developed.

Well, I'm not really sure about that, but I am sure LSU had ZERO chance to compete in Omaha.

Failing to execute fundamentally being the main reason.

They were given tonight's game at least 4 times, even after allowing a base to every run scored against them, and could not capitalize.

It's why this loss only slightly stings. And I do believe this team probably overachieved.

There will be some spots in the lineup with heavy competition coming from the incoming class, and I expect some guys coming back to assume lesser roles.

Agreed. Those that want to piss and moan, that pitcher was a good one. Yes I agree that they should have laid off some pitches but hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20. They young men did a great job and were bested by the better team tonight. That pitcher buckled down and threw some gems when he needed to.

They are way better coached. Less talent than us.

I disagree here. I think Omaha set up well to have some success.

Pretty awesome. The better team one. Not on PM. Not at all. Sure hope you don't blame Les Miles for a loss. They were just better.
