Daryl Johnson DB from OP Walker. Was in the same class as Buster Davis (2003).

He was the best athlete on an absolutely loaded OP Walker team. Coached by Frank Wilson.

I seem to remember Daryl Johnson handling kicking duties at OP as well. He was the best athlete on that team

Swan had some sort of crazy foot/ankle injury. My answer is Be Be Orgeron.

One of Curly's 5 running back class, out of MS iirc

William Brasky

Brasky actually played, but he was so good that LSU was afraid they would lose their amature status if he was allowed to stay on the team.

Edit: This is not widely published as the NCAA statute of limitations has not yet run.

Another supposedly can't miss linebacker from the Houston area, very heavily recruited--tough battle between the Tigers & A&M, but he did not pan out-- Tyronne Malone. Too much partying did him in.

Sorry--didn't read the entire thread. Tyronne had already been mentioned. Still worth remembering.

Your correct answer is Trey Prather. Preceded Bradshaw at Woodlawn HS in Shreveport. spent a year at LSU (freshmen were ineligible), dropped out, got drafted and was killed in Vietnam. Those who saw him in HS said he was better than Bradshaw.

Darryl Johnson from OP Walker was real good. Also, I'd say Jerry Sevin was a pretty damn good lineman from Curtis. I think he quit the team and football for that matter during his Freshman year before seeing the field...correct me if I'm wrong.

1999

DE Ranny Davis, Houma, La. (H.L. Bourgeois)

This guy. Was an absolute freak athlete who could have played played the point guard in college also. He couldn't make the grades. I believe he ended up at a JC (Hinds maybe?) and couldn't get out. I have heard rumors that he almost got drafted out of JC but I don't know how true the rumor was.

Does anyone remember him?

Yes, I remember him playing. I thought about Cade the other day. He was in one of my summer school classes for Psych and he paid this guy to do a paper for him and the dude turned it in and spelled Cade's name wrong.

Why is it that over half of the names mentioned either played at LSU or never even signed with LSU? Can you people not read?
