Nobody mentioned Brad Wilkerson's bomb that would have shattered windows in the athletic building if it had existed in 96.

Warren Morris and it's not even close. It will go down as the greatest HR in LSU history.

ok you had to be at it.

the year we beat vandy like 17-15 or something like that I'm sure there were a couple of bombs in that game.

ok been an LSU fan for a long time, but it was tough for me to go to games, so haven't gone to many.

I wasn't there for Morris', so I will have to go with Rich Cordani's vs. USC in the regional.

This!

Best bomb ever was Lyle Mouton, hit the white appt. behind left field at the old box.

Since we all know what the greatest homer in LSU history is. I am just going to assume you mean one that you witnessed in person.

In this case it was a homer hit by Eddie Furniss against SLU in Hammond. It is the longest homer I have ever seen. For anyone who knows SLU's stadium. The ball cleared the parking in right field and landed in the middle of the pine trees between the baseball field and strawberry stadium.

I wasn't there in Omaha for this, but the highlights make Brad Hawpe's bomb against USC (2000 I guess) look impressive. He just stuck the bat in the ground immediately after hitting it.

In person? Probably the dean/schimpf back to back twice in the same inning against Tulane.

If live also includes on tv and not just in person, then

I saw the Morris Home Run in person. Incredible moment to witness. Not to mention I was given a free ticket to the game by friends and had a great seat.

Live for me is Jarred Mitchell's 3 run bomb vs Texas in the first inning. I was 5 rows behind the plate and the second he hit that I knew it was gone and that we were one our way to winning.

I've posted this before, but the BOMB that Joey (Albert) Belle hit against Tulane in the NCAA Regionals landed on the southbound lane of Nicholson about 30 feet behind my car.

I was working that day and was listening to the game on the radio heading back to my apartment. I lowered my car window just before I got even with The Box to feel the live energy of an LSU-Tulane sporting event and heard the roar when he hit it.

There was very little traffic so I slowed down and looked to my right toward the outfield wall. That's when I see the ball heading out. I glanced at the road again to check the traffic signal and then looked in my rear-view mirror to see the ball bouncing just behind me and rolling across Nicholson into the football parking lot.
