Good call coming to LSU where he only had to play the minimum amount of games.

Seriously though, it was obvious he didnt want anything to do with college bball.

He effort in the classroom was slightly higher than his effort on the court.

This is why the 1 and done rule is stupid. It should be like baseball and football. Let them go pro but if you come you should be hear for 3 years.

Sounds like their gripe should be with the NBA's rules, not the NCAA's.

Simmons was paid. He earned a paycheck of $0.00 for his effort. Should have been negative after tuition and room and board but the university was nice.

Yep, how many hard fouls are dished out in the orcherstra Julie? How many hoe's are trying to blow you after you play Bach?

The 1 and done rule is why basketball should be a club sport in college.

You're right. Maybe you should have been forced to take a one year "interview" with a company that will make millions off of you while you work your arse off day in and day out just to get a hot meal and house to live in.. On top of that you are forced to go to school to learn shite that won't have an effect on you for your entire life.
It's bullshite that every other college kid can go make money off of their name while these stars get nothing but room, food, and board for making a school millions.

I love it and agree with Ben, instead lets pay the players. Then they can pay for their own tuition, room, board, books, housing. They can pay for their own uniforms, coaches salaries, training staff salaries, rent on the stadium and arenas, utilities for those stadiums and arenas. They can pay for the ticket and security staff as well as the event planners. They can also pay their own travel expenses for out of town games. What could go wrong? And with no more scholarships needed for Football and Basketball title 9 will be CRUSHED. IF schools don't have to fund mens basketball and football scholarships any longer that means they don't have to fund an equal number of women's sports either. SO say goodbye ladies - you can thank Ben Simmons. Michael Bennett, Martellus Bennett and scores of other professional athletes for ending your collegiate dreams. Great thinking guys....bravo!

These spoiled kids make me sick. Nobody said he had to go to college. He could have gotten a job like normal people. Go friken play at home or in Europe.

Love how this is his argument when it's his choice to leave early.

So he admits he was too lazy to go to class but wants to be the poster boy for being fricked by the NCAA. I wish this kid had never come here. Jones takes most of the blame for last year by being a shite coach but Simmons is just lazy and didn't give a frick.

The guy is literally shitting on LSU, yet people are defending him?

quote:

I'm here because I have to be here [at LSU]. ... I can't get a degree in two semesters, so it's kind of pointless. I feel like I'm wasting time."

Never put in much effort on the court either. Hopefully he matures.
