Damn! That's a 10 min video of low-lights ...not used to seeing that.
He got better with some of those things at LSU, but still has much to work on, especially defensively.

Awwweew. I feel sooooo bad for Ben. He will still make millions more than anyone on here will. I still say he took time off during games. Just going through the motions . I wish him luck in the nba though.

Preseason LSU touted him as a superstar. That's a fact. How can anyone say otherwise?
uh yea, that's going to happen when a player is the no. 1 recruit in the nation and the presumed no. 1 pick in the NBA draft. If a school isn't promoting that, they're not doing their job.

NBA Fit - 6'10" PG but can he play that position in the pros? Needs great shooters around him.
yes, and PGs typically are a threat to score from the perimeter and are quick enough to penetrate.
Ben can't shoot, so if he plays PG, I suspect defenders will sag way off of him and that will hurt his ability to penetrate. When that happens, his effectiveness as a PG is dramatically reduced.
I will acknowledge that he could be really good in transition, using his ball handling, speed, and athleticism. But in a half court set, he's very limited.

pretty shitty that Craig Victor's uncle/cousin/whatever is blasting Ben Simmons on a message board

Schools usually promote players after they do something, not before they play.
LSU chose to do otherwise to sell tickets. People like Jay Vilas questioned this move because it was ripe for problems.
Reality is LSU went for the bucks, promoted Simmons (a superior talent no doubt); who everyone knew was not here for an education and was merely passing through. they promoted him at the expense of his team mates and it seems some took offense and it seems Simmons got the big head.
You can't have it both ways. You can't say they are student athletes and then sell their names. You can't tell people its all about education and then showcase a one and done kid and not see repercussions.

You are kidding right? The difference in 12 million and 100 million (or even 50 million) is life changing money. If he signs for 12 million his agent will likely get 10%, his manager may get 10% and the tax man will get 50%. He would be lucky to walk with 5 million dollars (probably over a 5 year period). This is not "never have to work again money". If you change the contract amount to 50 million, he probably walks with 20 million and that is "never have to work again money" (even assuming he is a bust and makes no money in the NBA). If the reports are correct that his endorsement value has fallen from 100 million to 12 million that is huge for him (not to mention depressing and disappointing).
You folks are amazingly stupid. This is one endorsement potential. This has nothing to do with his NBA contract or any other potential endorsements here or abroad (reminder he is an international person). It also has nothing to do with the fact that he is 19 yrs old and can put some work in and still have his mega-life altering money before he is 21...
His value did not go down because he was at LSU. It went down because of his own behaviors. He was handed the keys to the Ferrari at LSU and he just chose to drive around the parking lot...

Cool. Let him be the next Jordan Spieth/Steph Curry. UA will pay him
