Tiger20-I won't compare him to Torris Bright because Bright was not a true point guard just as Bo Spencer. I want compare Springer to D. Mitchell because Mitchell was not a true point guard. I"m comparing him to B. Voogd whom was recruited to play the point as is A. Springer. Now if Brady would have gotten Chris Duhon thats another story.

Pick a side to that argument, you can't praise Brady for the great players and then complain about them leaving early as to why Brady failed.

And once again I say those players came here to play for LSU, not John Brady. Hell he is probably a little bit of the reason they left early.

Regardless, Brady had the time to figure it out that if you get kids who are gonna leave early you have to have options B and C to make up for it. That didn't click with him I guess. How long was LSU supposed to wait for that "bad luck" streak to wear out huh? Another 10 or so years? Maybe then we can have a good "Program" and not just a good team once ever 4 years or so.

Well, since you would have never fired any LSU coach for anything....is there a single coach in the history of sports that you would have fired? Just trying to find out where we stand...

Thanks for Proving my point

Duhon was recruited in the middle of the draconian sanctions and he had an opportunity to play at Duke. Wish we could have gotten him, but it is doubtful anyone could have overcome those barriers.

At the time Voogd was signed it is likely they saw him as a backup to Tack Minor and Garret Temple, with increasing contributions as he developed. Voogd was not as bad as many like to claim, but may not have ever been a starter.

There are so many good players that were brought into the program that I find it absurd that so much attention is placed on those recruits that did not become stars or even starters.

I can't believe you are that dense. We had a GREAT program! Just go ask all the other SEC schools how much they would love to win 3 SEC titles and go to the Final Four in 10 years. As for recruiting great players who leave, that's all on the NBA. Brady had no control over that. It's REALITY. You win titles, but you have turnover. I'LL TAKE IT!! If you think it is reality to have plan B and C, you are clueless. You can't replace NBA player results with plan B and C.

You have already revealed yourself to be a NEGATIGER . Already just waiting for PM to slip up so you can start FirePM.com. Get lost, Brutus!

Nope, I want PM to stay for a really long time, and wouldn't ever want him fired unless he proved he was no longer a valuable coach (ala Brady), but my point is that any fan of a school only has strong ties to the school, not the coach. I love having PM as our coach, but if somewhere down the road (and I don't see this happening) he proves he's no longer valuable, then he's got to go - it's just that simple.

You on the other hand, get emotionally tied to particular coaches, not schools. This is why you can't name a single coach you would ever fire, because you can't separate the school from the coach. No coach is bigger than LSU, and no coach has a life-long pass for previous achievements.

Your attitude is what makes you a "negatiger" - you don't care about what happens to LSU sports programs, you only care about never firing a coach. All the other people you call "negatigers" are just the opposite - we actually care about LSU and the success of the athletic program.

Thanks.

You're so full of baloney I don't know where to start. Brady was no longer a valuable coach, but he won the SEC and went to the Final Four less than two years before he was fired. Then, the team he had already assembled won the SEC the very next year after he was fired. You need a brain scan. You highlight one of the classic NEGATIGER traits - treat LSU people like trash in the name of supporting the school. WHAT A MORON!! Any organization that follows this philosophy FAILS!! The program looks real valuable now, doesn't it, MORON!? And, get it straight, I am the NEGATIGER DETECTOR. And, you are positively the NEGATIGER !

I'm not a NEGATIGER , so quit trying to pull me into your club. You need to concentrate on the current value of our basketball program.

not talking about an LSU coach, I just need the name of one coach in any sport, professional or not. Just one. It would really help your credibility and objectiveness and prove that you think it could actually help a team sometimes. I'm waiting....

(hint: this has nothing to do about LSU or "negatigers", I'm just looking for one name in all of sports)

Would Jim Haslett still be your coach if you were Tom Benson? Or Mike Ditka?

Something tells me that the city of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana, and LSU are very happy that you are in no position to make decisions regarding coaches.

Oh well, so you won't ever fire any coach for any reason, that's fine man. But if you just come out and say this next time early on, we can save some time. I'm getting bored with your lack of mental capacity.

Have you ever coached? Stop trying to make yourself feel better by putting words into other people's mouths. And, Mr. Value added, you really need to be focused on the current value of the basketball program. I mean, how do you expect your investors to react to this brilliant business plan you have embarked on? The stock is headed for penney status. And, you're still lecturing people?
