people still seem to be in the dark about this somehow, but bama cheats, and they always have. they would still be good without cheating, but the one and only reason they're this good is because they break every rule there is.

lets focus on recruiting.

Pete Carrol was at USC from 2001 to 2009, is widely regarded as a GREAT recruiter, and basically had everything west of Texas to himself. his classes were ranked:

20, 8, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4, 3.

Urban might be even better than Carrol. He was at Florida when the U and FSU were both down. his classes went...

12, 2, 1, 6, 7, 1

at Ohio State he's gone...

5, 2, 3, 7

here at LSU, Miles went...

13, 9, 5, 12, 1, 8, 8, 14, 6, 2, 6, 3

Saban doesnt even have the state of Alabama to himself, not to mention programs like Fla State, UGA, Clemson, LSU, and now Ole Miss all going after the same regional kids, and his classes have gone:

13, 3, 2, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

this is an impossible number.

that's more consecutive number 1 classes then Carrol, Urban, and Miles have ever had combined.

this is not possible without cheating in every way imaginable. it just isnt. its not even remotely close to possible.

oh and btw, that run started in 2007, just 5 years after bama was on the verge of the death penalty for "some of the worst (recruiting violations) that have ever occurred."

dj fluker literally tweeted "Yea I took $ n college so wat". he is from a terrible part of new orleans; after katrina, all 5 members of his family lived in a ford escort. here he is at bama with his cadillac

former bama DE Luther Davis had a mountain of evidence documenting payouts to Fluker and others.

"The records were turned over to Yahoo Sports by a source with ties to the NFL agent community who alleged that Davis was acting as an intermediary between several high-profile college football stars and multiple NFL agents and financial advisers."

as i already said, 5 years before saban got there, bama was on the verge of the death penalty for buying players. after 40 years of that you think the alumni just stopped overnight, and all these number 1 recruiting classes now are unrelated?

(and then theres sabans very long history of sign-stealing, just like his mentor belichick does. that sure as hell helps)

And his brother was on scholarship as an equipment manager at Alabama.

All the big dogs partake in this and you would be a fool to think otherwise. When I worked a bogies I thought we would get recruiting violations every Wednesday night just from someone taking a picture of the parking lot.

Until we are willing to match the spending and pushing the rules to the limit. We or anyone else won't match them on the field

bama's recruiting budget dwarfs lsu's. also, the amount of "boots on the ground" they put in La and other locations is unmatched. how many times do we have to eal with "handlers" or "mentors" of these recruits that are being pimped out? these pimps post pics on social media with their bama gear, etc. these poor kids come from nothing but all end up with a new dodge? bout time we began to match it. Emmert wont do a damnt hing to his buddy in Tuscaloosa. cant beat em? join em.

agree. very obviously the SEC offices filled with bama grads arent gonna do shite, and the head of the NCAA is the guy who brought saban to LSU, so we cant count on him to enforce the rules.

i dont think for a second that we're some innocent little angel, i assure you, but no one can approach bama when it comes to cheating. we're probably level with most other SEC teams.

its like we're running the 100 meters and the starting blocks for bama are 20 yards in front of everyone elses.

I read the whole thing actually.

It was pathetic.

And.

Embarrassing.

And if you don't think every major program has boosters and agents giving benefits, including LSU then I don't know what to tell you.

Oh so they aren't just better at football, they are better at cheating too.

No it isn't. He has the reputation of putting players in the NFL and winning national titles at multiple schools.

Was he cheating when he brought the talent into LSU with a #1 class before we were winning big?

This is a very diplomatic way to put things.

Kudos to you.

And this is correct. Their recruiting budget was 8 times that of LSU, last I checked.

As for the OP, if it walks like a duck...

Like I said in another thread: I have NO PROBLEMS with Bama players being paid. They should be. Same for LSU, but LSU's compliance is strict.

The amount of revenue these young adults bring in for their school and the SEC is off the charts.

Saban has ALWAYS recruited well. A few years ago bama, with the help of espn, became "America's Team". And with the hire of Kiffin, they now recruit the west coast. Graet players, great coaching is hard to beat. Add an SEC front office and officials that are gumpers and it makes them very difficult to beat.

It's Tuesday.... Time to move on sore loser... Serious. I have never seen a fan base as pissy as this one. Always someone else's fault. LSU is supposed to go unbeaten every year. Newsflash..... That's not gonna happen.

this. the reason why Bama has so many great classes is because Saban says jump and the AD asks how high. He gets everything he wants. New weight room? Sure. New players lounge? Sure. New academic center? Sure. It goes on and on.

They have a larger recruiting budget than anyone else in the country, a much larger staff than anyone in the country, and a giddy alumni/booster support staff.

It doesn't help that Saban is the best coach in college football history, Bama is a national product, and they are on a roll.

That is why Bama is tops. They hire more men to analyze film, more men to cold call these kids, spend more money on trips to visit and recruit, have a larger footprint, and Saban is relentless and micro manages every facet of his program.

Very few coaches can/will do this. They care about football x's and o's. Saban cares about everything from the uniforms, to journalists, to recruiting. He runs that program and it's his way or the highway and he's obsessed with winning and utilizing advantages.

That's one thing that always irked me with Miles. He cared about x's and o's and then went home. He didn't rule with the iron fist that Saban does. Not saying it's wrong, but there were multiple small things that were glanced over under Miles.
