i'm assuming you're saying that LSU could've or should've beaten florida. we had ONE drive the whole game that generated points and that was aided by 2 15-yd penalties. florida was in no danger whatsoever of losing to LSU last Saturday.

man i love this kind of reasoning...and you wonder where the term "negatiger" comes from.

Not necassirily. I listened to the interview with the Bengals coach on Mike and Mike this morning, and he made a good point about it. He said they are one play away from being undefeated, but 4 plays away from being defeated. It's just about realizing where you are in your scheme of things, looking at what you have done right to not be 3-3 and building on those and working to fix the things that kept games close for "close to 3-3".

And how many of Florida's were kept alive or greatly improved by penalties? The point is all these things are part of the game, and if one or two things fall differently, the game changes. If some of those UF possesion, particularly the first drive to score their first field goal, doesn't get kept alive by personal fouls and offside, it changes field position, followed by play calling, which CAN swing momentum. Look at the UF game last year with the tiped pass for a TD. If that's broken up and they punt, the game is completely different from there. We still would have gotten beat, but I would bet anything that the score wouldn't have been lopsided.

By your perspective on things it is quite alright to rely on could've (see your comment about what our record COULD be right now) in order to maintain your ability to "live in reality"; however, it is not reasonable to do the same if it diverges from your perspective. Now I get it chief.

We say 5-1 and people think that is good.
Do you realize how close we are to being 3-3.
Goal line stand at where? Mississippi State!!!
Last minute run by Scott on a team that was slaughtered by Tenn. last week.
We do not have a good football team. A team is not only just talent, but coaching and execution.
Fans should be objective in viewing these issues.
At his moment we are paying notes on a Ferrari and driving a Saturn.

Nice job everyone. It looks like when got rid of this doucher within three pages. The line(of support) blocked the runninig of the mouth good, not great but good. I think this is an area where we have great want to do better. The D played extremely well. there was great containment of douche baggery. I think we have the right players here. You are going to see alot of changes after the by week and we should have no problem putting away the opponents within the first or second page so we can move on to the next doucher.

Not this shite again?! By that rationale I could easily say, "Do you realize how close to being undefeated we are?" I wouldn't but the point stands -- "ifs" "could've" "should've" BLAH BLAH BLAH....

Please...take your own advice! Choosing to only see the negatives and ignoring all positives is NOT objectivity!

I do agree with this point:

Then you must have no memory of any of those games prior to this year. There have been other times when young offensive line play took time to improve. It is a football fact of life. When you have a young line your offense will struggle against anything resembling a good defense. Sorry but it is damn near a natural law.

Really sonnyboy? Had a penatly been called when the UF reciever whipped Hawkins around like a ragdoll by his jersey then the score is 6-3. THAT game could be lost by UF VERY easily with a turnover. Now, remember sonnyboy, you are the one who likes to deal in what ifs. So, my lack of a proper call is just as relavent as your "we could be 3-3"

reality is also that we're 108th in total offense and have played 1 SEC caliber defense all season. vandy and msu doesn't fall into that category and neither does uga this year. i just hope that this can get fixed during this off week and next. it has to get fixed.
