I'm not saying we will, but we COULD very easily drop the last 4 SEC games. On the other hand we could win all 4 as well, but not with this offense.
You sound like you would be disappointed if we did win, sonnyboy.

Well, it was just one game. And, honestly, not a very important one. Florida is less important than Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. And all of those teams, save Bama, have their own serious problems
yes!

I think people have been living the Florida loss for two months or more, so when it happened, there was two months worth of angst to deal with it. Which is why the board has been so negative.
I think people are negative because this team should have won the game! People thought their offense would blow up LSU's D. Guess what, didn't happen. And when the offensive play calling was soooooo pathetic, people realize that LSU does have the talent, but are not being used in the right way!

Here's the problem, we all have high expectations, and it was difficult to watch the offense this past weekend.
BUT to say you get absolutely no joy from watching the team is ludicrous, the defense is good and getting better each week.
And for me, it's kinda strange to say something tortures you and cause you no enjoyment, etc. and yet continue to do it. It's kinda like a person not turning on a light and continues to run into a wall. At some point, shouldn't you turn on the light and change your philosophy?

Tigerwoody, I guess you are pleased with the call on the goal line?
Or maybe you agree that Shep should not have entered the game with his 7 yrds per carry,,,, cuz LSU only lost by 10 - ANY SPARK would have helped!!!????
Just a couple examples of what, did not help the other night.... And nope the season is not over and I'm in no way giving up on the Tigers, that's why I'm on here displaying my disappointment. I want the coach to get his HAT out of his arse

All right then you want a serious discussion? Let's have it. One thing that has improved on offense this year, CS running on first down. I was at the Georgia game and got real tired of people saying "ohh theres big ten football, running on first down". First off, we don't have run and gun offense that will put up serious points every game. We have the talent but it is not refined enough. And that takes time, and won't be performing completely up to its talent level until the middle of next season. Granted it will get better progressively until then, but not all at once. It simply takes time.
To get back to my original point, CS has been running alot better on first down. The first few games, he only hit the holes if they were wide open. Our line wasn't doing that great of a job opening holes, but he is good enough to adjust at the line to make something happen. The first time I really saw him adjust and not run into the back of a lineman, was the UGA game. For proof, see the final run paly of that game. Our line is doing better, not dramatically, but they are slowly improving at their run blocking. I see less confusion than before. It's not completely gone, but it is lessening. I'm telling you, by mid-november we will be able to get 4-5 ayrds on a CS run between the tackles against even good D's with our current line. If you can't recognize this, then you really don't understand how much time it takes to develop these things.
Are they happening as quick as everyone would like, no. But that is a fact of football. It takes time, and sometimes longer than others.
What else you got?

Personally I like the nail biting Defensive games. I would rather see a 7-6 game than a 48-3 any day of the week. Sometimes I think the Tigers are going to give me a heart attack.
It is sad that we can't get the O going all the time. Sometimes they just start clicking like at the end of the UGA game and that is what makes it so darn exciting, the suspense "will they get it going?" or "not".
I do get mad when we lose but the sun will rise the next day.
No reason to not enjoy the games.

well said baloo, good to see you back.
Never left. Just didn't have anything to say, really. I'm tired of people who would rather be right than have the team win. And if you can't enjoy Tiger victories, you aren't an LSU fan.
Yes, there are problems. But I don't feel the way to correct problems is to panic, act like the sky is falling, and then fail to enjoy the good things. Panic is almost always bad. and this board is in an almost constant state of panic right now.

I agree that the Scott dive plays have seemed to work a little better. Just seems like the line is opening up a little better holes for him and he is hitting them a little better.

Nice job everyone. It looks like when got rid of this doucher within three pages. The line(of support) blocked the runninig of the mouth good, not great but good. I think this is an area where we have great want to do better. The D played extremely well. there was great containment of douche baggery. I think we have the right players here. You are going to see alot of changes after the by week and we should have no problem putting away the opponents within the first or second page so we can move on to the next doucher.

+1. I'm tired of reading shite from people on here who are morons and don't know what they are talking about. Time to knock em out one by one like PP on a CJ punt return.....

you need a new team or new hobby. This is just insanity. We just lost to the #1 team and dropped to #10.

i think the people on this thread expressing concerns think that the #10 ranking might be fool's gold. this team could very easily be 3-3 right now. we had this same records at this point last year (5-1)(3-1) and didn't win another SEC game. We're just stating that if this offense doesn't improve over the next 2 weeks it may very well happen again. A #10 ranking mid-season doesn't mean jack to me. It's where we end the season. Anybody with a brain should agree with this.

I do have a brain, but don't completely agree. Yeh we could very easily be 3-3. Florida could just as easily be 4-2. If we had played even a little better on offense, and cut the offsides penalties in half, completely different ball game. If tennesse had changed play calling in the 4th against Florida and opened it up even a little, could be different also. The point of the ranking is yeh we could easily be 3-3 but we have found ways to win even if theya re ugly and we are 5-1. Good teams find ways to win in those situations. Its what you call learning how to win. Perfect examples of ifs and could be-s, see Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos in the NFL.
