what does he need to do in 2010 to keep his job for 2011?

He is now 7-8 in the SEC over the last two seasons (3-5 last year, 4-3 this year). Arkansas will be tough, so 7-9 in the SEC is quite possible.

We have now lost to Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss twice in a row.

Does he have to win the West in 2010 to survive?

He's gotta win more than 8 next year, at the very least, I'd imagine.

10 wins should be the landing point imo.

With the way ppl are bitching now he needs to win a National Championship or they will want him fired.

I think he wins the West or at least goes 10-2 or he is done.

The conference, not just the division.

He has to win the SEC period. I do not think it is ok to have three straight "rebuilding years"

Ok, maybe just the West with a BCS bowl win.

I would think so, yes. Possibly get by with 1 loss

A better question concerns his contract- is the 8 win automatic rollover 18 million buyout true or just rumor?

Come on, winning cures all...Winning the SEC, or at least the SEC West would be a step in the right direction.

Probably. All I know is that if he doesn't do something about the O, he is gonna be in a bind! D seems to be headed in the right direction. I just think Crowton is a bad fit. No more option! That's not SEC style football no matter what Florida does.

I really don't know how he can salvage his image and credibility; somebody here said you can't fix stupid. And he seems to be stuck there.

I'm remaining positive and holding out hope he gets canned this season, not thinking about what-ifs for next year
