Bama usually brings their full band to Auburn and either LSU or Tennessee. LSU not sending the full band to even one regular season game is embarrassing. If we make it to Atlanta for the SECCG, watch F*King and Alleva decide to send a tiny 55-member pep band instead.

and if we make it to Atlanta for the playoffs, would a full band even be allowed to go to that

Guaranteed. At least one game.

I think Roy's court case refers to some money issues (upper administration/school of music trying to "steal" the budget for the Tiger Band. I guess he and his attorney are right!! Looks like the school of music is already "sticking it" to the kids in the Tiger Band.

It lists that the SEC championship and any bowl/playoff game would be a full band trip. But with the way things have gone already, I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't let the band go later in the year.

The full band is going to Atlanta. LSU fans would riot if they didn't

Don't bet on this......I would not be surprised to see a pep band go to the first play-off game thus only sending a full band to the final play-off game.

Now your just being stupid. The full band will go to Atlanta and to both playoff games should we make it. Not having a full band trip is really a bad look for the new group running the band but if they don't go to postseason games they will have hell to pay from LSU fans

The LSU SOM has no decision making authority over what trips Tiger Band takes. That's strictly Athletic Department and LSU Administration.

They just caught hell over the visiting band issue and now they're going to catch it again once word gets out that there will be no full band trips.

If you have the want to state your opinion, send an e-mail to Alleva or Alexander.

If enough people complain, they may do another reversal.............

Not anymore.....the Dean of the school of music now controls the budget for the tiger band (according to someone in the band). Those decisions used to be made by athletics, but are now made by the tiger band administration/school of music. Bad decisions made by bad people.

Who can we email/call constantly about this? If I've learned one thing about people, it's that if they're annoyed enough and it's not by something illegal, they'll cave and do whatever they can to get it to stop.

ETA: and if it's illegal I mean they'll call the police or something and you'll be forced to stop without getting what you want.

"They" are hoping we either will not notice or will not care about this. "They" think we are stupid/dumb. You are right....Joe Alleva and his underlings had no idea the sh!t storm they were creating with the visiting band crap. Again, "they" thought we would not notice/care. This time however, it is the LSU school of music who are working their hands deeper and deeper into the pockets of the Tiger Band. The kids in the band are only "slightly" aware what is going on as they are overwhelmed with their classes, etc. These criminals in the band/school of music administration think we are stupid. I have, and will continue to write letters/emails to F. King, Board of Supervisors, John Bel Edwards, The Advocate, etc. as long as this continues. Without the Rant, this kind of crap will only get worse!

yep the same dean who did the exact same thing with the band budget at Colorado State. Don't expect a dime to be spent on tigerband now that doesn't have to be. It's disgusting

My daughter made the colorguard team this year and what you are hearing is correct. No full band at away games this year due to "budget cuts."

Might be too late. Away game ticket notifications are about to go out, and I don't see them taking back tickets from season ticket holders to give to the band. "The Auburn tickets that we previously promised you will now be going to the band. Sorry for any inconvenience."

It is too late. These decisions have to be made way in advance like you said.

We have one of the most profitable and powerful athletic departments in the country. How can they not just step in and cut the check for Tiger Band?

That's bullshite. The band is funded by the athletic department. I didn't realize athletics was having "budget cuts" also. Someone is passing the buck.

this sucks even more for her since color guard don't get to go on pep band trips.

The color guard and the golden girls are the ones who really get screwed with this

there is no budget issue just a new group in charge of tigerband that doesn't want to spend money on them it doesn't have to. Not have a full band trip saves them a ton of money
