I haven't seen anything official but I've heard different rumors.

ETA: To Wisconsin

If they're flying, which they probably are, nope. It'll be a 55 member pep band.

That's more than Wisconsin brought to Houston. They brought 0.

Ouch. I know there's about 3 configurations that we use. Full, a medium sized and then a smaller sized. Would this be that smaller size?

The only way we'd bring the whole band is if the Packers Classic folks were paying for it like the Cowboys Classic folks paid for it in 2011 and 2013.

Expect the smallest band possible.

If you ask LSU they'll say no, its a safety concern. No wait, yes! Yes we are. Then F king steps in and says no, it costs too much. Then they say yes.

Its a meeestry

It's clearly up to the fans whether or not they bring the whole band. If Alleva says no, all we have to do is raise hell and then he will change his mind. Seems to be the new process.

That's because the game took place BEFORE their school year began (Wisconsin is on the quarter system). Remember, it was a Kick-off Classic game.

I heard a rumor that the new Tiger Band administration has decided there will be no full band trips this year during the regular season. Maybe some of the TB members on here can confirm this. If true, shame on them!!

There are no full band trips this year according to the news letter. I'd post a pic, but I'm semi-retarded. There will be a pep band to Wisconsin, though.

No full band trip. It's so dumb having the full band on the road is awesome and it really is a shame since they always have one. It's an embarrassingly bad decision and just makes it look like they aren't willing to spend money on tigerband right now.

Uh, no they're on the semester system. This game also starts on the equivalent weekend so they wouldn't be starting school now if they were. OREGON is on the quarter system. That's why they didn't bring a band in 2011. Wisconsin didn't bring one because their AD is notoriously cheap (see Dave Aranda) and didn't want to pay for a trip in addition to them also going to a bowl game.

What's sort of amazing to me is schools like Ohio State and UCLA with rich football history have always been on the quarter system, which means that their students haven't been in class for a quarter of their season most of the time for most of their history (Ohio State recently changed to semesters in 2012). Does anyone with connections there know if this has caused any kinds of dilemmas in terms of students and football games?
