I went by yesterday at sun down and he was running all over. Hoping he will do that on Saturdays, but I have little faith he will.

You people disrespecting our mascot are fricking pathetic. It is a privilege that we are even able to have such a magnificent animal on our campus.
There is going to come a day where we don't have Mike anymore. Enjoy it while you can instead of whining like a bitch.

At this point I kind of hope they just stop trying and keep him in his habitat during game day. They keep his butt inside all day of the game trying to get him into the trailer and it fails every time. I would rather at least get to see him during the day rather than not at all.

I hate it, but I agree with you. i think we've seen the last of a live tiger parading around the field.
But I don't think we'll ever get rid of the tiger on campus. His habitat is nicer than most zoos. So unless every zoo in America gets rid of live tigers, we'll still have one.
Might be time to start a new tradition on gameday that involves Mike staying in his habitat.

So you see, his caretakers are lying every Saturday when they say that Mike wouldn't load into his cage. They don't even try to load him up. They cry that Mike doesn't like the fireworks.
Newsflash: He's on the LSU campus to be the LSU athletic mascot. A slight bit of discomfort 7 times a year ain't going to kill him. I have to do a lot of things that discomfort me. That's life, you learn to deal with it.

This is where things are headed. The days of him circling the field in his cage are pretty much over.
Apparently, they will try to load him into the trailer for the first 3 home games. If he refuses to cooperate, that will be it for this season.
I would never advocate the abuse of an animal for sport, but it's sad that another of our great football traditions is soon to bite the dust.
