No, I know it is based on opinions, I am just trying to do some research to see its worth. I mean, I don't want to sell it then turn around and see that it sold for a way great amount, and I look like a complete blonde....and no I am not a blonde :)

I wouldn't take any less than $500.00 for it. I saw a 1960 bobblehead LSU Tiger mascot fetch a cool Grand on e-bay. Some 1920s team photos and shots at the LSU/Miss. St. game in 1923 brought several hundred. In this economy, not many people are shelling out big bucks for collectibles.

Megan I have your email, and I sent you an offer by email.

tigger@bayou.com

I also asked the same question from a couple of months ago, how did your grandfather end up with that super rare book.

I'm writing a book on the 1908 team and this book would be very helpful to my project.

I'll give you my Xbox360, 5 games, and a framed holographic Charizard card for it.

Megan,

Listen to Tigger1, he posted just a few post before this one.

A good place to discuss it is here:

May I make a suggestion? Dr Jack Andoine has collected various LSU items including game programs for many many years. He donated most of those items to the museum that now bears his name at LSU. It might be nice if you looked into donating that to the museum. Now they may have one from that game already, but thats an old item. Don't sell it please. Either keep it in your family or let LSU have it.

I believe the museum is pretty much his, he still owns all the stuff in there (except what is on loan). Tigger1 is very good friends with Dr Andonie and has stuff on loan to the museum as well.

The two of them are working together on the book (or at least Dr Andonie is helping him).

Run your "value" up to about $3000 and make a tax deductable donation to LSU. AND ask them for 2 sideline tickets.

I have talked with Doc about this item, LSU has a copy of this booklet in special colletions. A number of people at LSU went to go look at it after I told them about the book.

Not many people knew about this super rare book that was printed just after the 1908 football season.

The book has a team photo, a picture of Col. Boyd, Coach Wingard and Team Manager Himes, along with 13-15 of the team members.

The book was going to include some game action photographs form the Seip family's photo album, but they ran out of money on the project and cut the game action photos:(

So I looked up the LSU Museum and they do have one, but Mr. Johnson, said that he would forward my email to some collectors. Yea sideline season tickets would be extremely nice if I donated it to LSU, but seeing that they already have one, I don't think they would give me them!

And someone asked about the condition of the book. It is in great condition. The front cover is made out of like purple construction paper, a little worn around the edges. But the inside is fabulous. All the pictures/prints are great. Thank you all for your feedback :)
