emergency QB. It is what it is. He knows how to run just fine, and if he finds himself in the game, he will be given just runs plays with a few long passes to 83.

Unless Harris gets injured while LSU is down, I suspect Jennings would be asked to run the same offense from the Outback Bowl against Iowa: Hand off to Fournette until you absolutely have to pass. Don't take chances with the football, and probably best to just tuck and run if your first option is covered.

Honestly, I think the writing is on the wall for Jennings. I bet he'll transfer to an FCS team in the spring.

After year and a half of experience he showed zero improvement. What would be the difference now?

Most of the responses to this concern are based upon irrational knee jerk hatred of Jennings and not clear eyed logical thought processes.
God forbid Harris gets hurt but if he does watch the amount of people coming out of the woodwork calling out Miles for not getting Jennings more game reps.

So stupid.

Jennings has been in the program going on 3 years. He knows how to run the freaking offense and is a solid backup. He had LSU beat as the QB against Bama last season until that BS no call allowing Bama to take it to OT.

Harris has needed all the experience he can get this season.

Jennings is fine. Jennings is not going to play any worse because of lack of playing time this season than he already would have.. Jennings is fine man. And he did show improvement in the Spring. We are in great shape.

People seriously.. I don't understand the constant negative, what ifs, etc.. LSU is in great shape all around.

We finally get what we have been bitching about for years...one Quarterback!
One GREAT Quarterback...and now you want to go back to playing two so he gets playing time???

Close minded people on here. Arguing that Jennings can't possibly become a better option as a backup because of his play last season.
If someone can't possibly improve he wouldn't still be on the team. Even Jarrett Frickin Lee got better his last season.
A little more action at the end of blowouts can only get him prepared in case. To think otherwise is foolish

Nope. I want to win. He had an entire season last year to "develop". Whatever he was developing into should have been ripe already.

Are you really serious? If AJ were performing in practice he'd get playing time - maybe. Goes to show that somebody is going to see the full glass as only half full. Just when would you have put AJ in a game?

Good lord! Because you want to see the backup QB get some playing time at the end of blowouts just in case he is forced into action you are seeing the glass as half full?!
I truly don't understand the logic of some of you.

we talking about a junior qb that lost his starting spot. Not a redshirt freshman and i'm sure he will do fine handing the ball off 2 fournette.
