my favorite was the 1978-79 SEC regular season championship-clinching win against Bama at home. Dale had them drop an "SEC Champions" banner from the rafters before the game ended, and the place went absolutely baliitic. I've NEVER heard it louder - anywhere. Almost 40 years ago and I remember it like yesterday. Just magical.

I watched that game at home with my grandpa. Great Times. I couldn't sleep that night :)

Wimp Sanderson went crazy on the BAMA bench accusing them of showing his team up. Dale just wanted the fans to enjoy the moment.

It's a gymnastics building now. Basketball will be cut out of the program in less than 7 years.

I can't wait to see a gym meet next year.

The pmac scoreboard is an absolute embarrassment in the year 2017 for an athletic program that generates the revenue that lsu athletics generates.

No fricks given by the administration.

If they were smart they'd tear out the seating in the 300 level between the baselines and put skyboxes in on both sides.

No, you don't like the basketball being played at the PMAC.
Nothing wrong with the facility that 20 wins wouldn't fix. Many of us have been there when the roof was shaking, tends to improve the experience.

I have sad news for you guys, the PMAC will likely never rock again. I didn't miss a home game of the last Final 4 team, 2006, and even with that star-studded team, the PMAC was never packed. There are only a limited amount of sports dollars available in BR, the day football went to a seat licensing plan, it sucked up most of those funds.

Sad, but true.

1. Wimp Sanderson was not Alabama HC in 1979 when we dropped the banner. It was C.M. Newton.

2. That 1979 Alabama MBB game was among he most electric atmospheres ever at LSU in any sport. It was absolutely loud and crazy, more than any other MBB ever in the PMAC.

3. The Assembly Center was 14,410 capacity then it opened and then dropped to 14,100+ in late 1980s and then to 13,200+ in its present incarnation.

4. The students stopped attending and that is why they were moved. Leave them where they are but move the press up top and free up more bottom seats for students.

4. We had 3-4 home games last year that were virtually full even the student areas. If LSU has a winning program, we'll average well over 10K per game and more like 12K + for most SEC games.

The PMAC itself is fine.

The configuration of the PMAC is absolutely garbage. Seating is way too far from the court.

I had the privilege of watching the second and third games ever played in the PMAC, stinkers vs. Alabama and Auburn. I loved the PMAC; old enough to remember seeing games at the Parker Ag Center (it was a MISERABLE place; birds flying in the building during the game and pooping midcourt!)

Ther was two games last year, when it was completely packed and had a great atmosphere. UK and Oklahoma...not that long ago, but seems like a distant memory after this year.

And for God's sakes, move the fricking student section back to where they were!
Student section used be on the sideline from the very bottom row, all the way up to the upper deck top row.........And it was full during the Scales-Macklin-Martin-Cook-Hultberg-Sims years. Students would camp out to get a good seat for the show.

Fortunately, I was one of the Drummers in the Basketball Band in 80 & 81, so didn't have to worry about seating. Had more fun on the BB Band trips than GBFTL trips.

Get the freaking Media out of the student section as well. That's a joke. Who made that decision?

No Tiger Mascot since Jeffers has come anywhere close to animating that costume like he did! Miss all the great Pre-Game skits....................
