I find that I am wasting my life and time being this invested in LSU sports. I thought I would get better as I get older but I havent. I've got to stop caring so much but I just really don't know how to pump the breaks. It's almost a bad addiction. I'm about to make myself check out emotionally but not being so dead set on watching every game, going as often as I can and wasting my evenings sitting in front of the tv or at a ballpark just to get pissed off.

Rant over. In before STFU, you're a pussy, etc...

If it makes you feel better man, I'm the same way. I swore off of Lsu basketball after the Tennessee loss, and just like that they roped me back in.

No, you're not the only one. Sometimes I have to turn off the game lest I get too involved.

I'm not done with LSU, but I might be done with TD for a while.

40% of the posters spewing their vile on the basketball loss tonight haven't posted one time all season regarding the basketball team. Another 40% only come out when LSU loses for a nice old told-you-so.

There are a good 20% - I know you - that have been here all along, understand we choked this game away, but also know it's not the end all of end alls.

You have some "LSU fans" wanting Ben Simmons to expore his options. WTF people. It was an NCAAT loss. NCAAT. Haven't seen it in 5 years. But lose in it as an underdog and lower seed AND BOOM - dismantle the program.

It's much worse for football with me. Like many have said, this team this year hurt me a lot game to game showing so much promise only to lay an egg the next. It was a fitting end...as painful as it was.

It helps if you invest more time into your own successes in life...much better return in the short and longer term...don't be a fanatic...be an observer...

Everyone on here (besides Paige) is strongly attached to the team. This was a frustrating year in both football and basketball but the future has potential

It is normal when you are young. Been there! I'm 47 years old. I get upset after a dumbfounded loss but try to understand the bigger picture.

1. LSU was not going to win the whole tournament. 100-1 odds.

2. LSU's depth was probably going to cost them against Villanova.

3. LSU does not have the best talent in CBB.

4. Baylor and Iowa State lost. Most games were decided by 1-4 points .

Disconnect emotionally by not getting worked by preseason hype and recruits. Only 1 team will win the National Championship and it wasn't going to be LSU this season.

The way we lose is sickening.

We don't lose like normal teams...we lose with:

heartbreak
frustration
embarrassment

pick any of the three. When LSU loses any marquee game, it involves a swift kick in the nuts (if you are a guy).

Think about how SMU feels.

They were a 6 seed, coached by the legendary Larry Brown.

It ain't just LSU. When you lose it SUCKS. When you lose a game you should have won it SUCKS WORSE.

Competitive sports. Someone wins, someone complains.

The more sports board is what keeps me here. The sec rant has turned into a giant flame fest and the posts on here get out of hand at times.

Agreed. We can't let those 80% ruin a good site.
