In the Trai Turner highlight package Landry was just making incredible catches the entire time.

It just depends on what you need. Beckham can change the game but Landry will get you first downs. Plus Landry is a tough special teams player. Most teams would like to have one of each.

I've always thought that. I think they see a obj having more intangibles. I think Landry is the next Hines Ward tho.

Nah....he is the next Jerry Rice!

OBJ is a game breaker with outstanding measurable athletic ability. Good comparison made earlier to DeSean Jackson but with better toughness and character with a notch less speed.

Juice Landry is a leader with the best ball skills in the draft and the most toughness of any WR in the draft pound for pound.

I think they are comparable in value but different in style. OBJ is what pro scouts like because of measurables, but Landry is the guy who teammates like because of his toughness and relentless ability to outwork the opponent.

I am proud that both were and are Tigers... top notch talent and character.

You say some of the stupidest redundant shite. Always stating the obvious. It's become tiresome

Nope, but they bring different things to the table.

I was a bigger Landry when at LSU, but wanted Odell for the Saints

Yeah if it was Odell he might be shown dropping the easiest of passes. He could make tough ones though...never understood that

Odell has more speed and play making ability with his feet. But if it's third down, I'm throwing it to Jarvis every time. The guy would die before he drops the ball.

I would take Landry over Beckham. Landry catches passes that nobody else can and blocks his arse off. He became my favorite player in 2011 against Auburn. Both guys will be missed (understatement).

If it was a big 3rd or 4th down I wanted it going Landry's way every time.

The fact is we had the best receiving core in college football last year. It was amazing to watch both of them

The biggest reason for the LSU fan base's ( and my)collective affinity for Juice is that he always had hands of gold to go along with an extremely well developed all around skill set nearly straight out of HS. That is why he was a 5 star.

OBjr, on the other hand, went through the typical learning curves of route running, playing the ball in the air and yes, inconsistencies with his catches. He definitely did develop into a NFL level pass catcher and that is what the NFL teams saw.

I have to suspect that every QB in the league must want to have a guy like Landry on the field especially in the red zone for obvious reasons. I'll even bet that there are a dozen or so NFL QBs who wanted Jarvis specifically just because he is the best possession receiver in this draft.

But in the end, the difference in speed and athleticism between OBjr and Landry will be more noticeable in the NFL. CBs and Safeties will have an easier time covering JL than OBjr and that not only helps Odell but it also stretches the field and forces the defense to play differently which can help open up the rush, TEs, etc.

Ya'll remember when Landry was knocking people out on kickoffs? This guy is all about the team. That's why he will always be favored by LSU fans.

YEP, think they are both great but JL's potential is yet to be appreciated and he has the heart needed to reach it
