Chris Williams DB could be honorable mention. Had a great college career. Had close to 20 picks I'm sure.

I wouldn't say that. They both had multiple awesome seasons. Webster was the man in the biggest of games. But Mo had big plays in the big games too. In addition to being a great corner,he was also a very good kick returner and led the nation in interception return yardage his last year. Great players.

Webster was great for all three years he played defense. Claiborne was very good too but wasn't on websters level in coverage. Webster set a record that will never be broken for pass breakups and has more career picks. He also has two seasons with more picks than Claiborne's best season. There's no reason we can't acknowledge Claiborne's great play and still realize that Webster was better. Look at their NFL careers it's not even close, Webster was just on a differnt level it doesn't mean Claiborne wasn't good. Saw a few guys had White above Webster lmfao.

I do think Webster was better, but just not by miles in college. I think Webster could have been a great WR too. He had great hands. It's amazing how fast he switched and became a great corner at the college level. Mo started out as WR in camp, but switched to corner. He was behind PP at first, but was awesome when he really played his sophomore year.

Need to find a place on that team for Johnny Robinson and Jerry Stovall. Billy Cannon would be a pretty decent linebacker on that team.

Anyone who ever saw Tommy Casanova play would never list an all time defense without him. He was unbelievable.

I say miles because of the huge separation in their play once they were covering the best of the best in the NFL. Webster was the number 1 corner on 2 Super Bowl winning teams and Claiborne is just starting to warrant a starting spot now. Plus you never saw Webster get shredded the way Morris did vs West Virginia in college. He was just on another level. Morris never missed an opportunity to make a big play and that's a unique skill but Webster was far more consistent and was always on the no1 wr. Claiborne was the no2 corner his first year starting and half of his second year. That makes a huge difference also.

Yeah, with the NFL, I can see why you would say that. Webster proved he was legit on any level. Webster was much better in the NFL. Mo has taken a while to get going in the NFL.

I dunno why Mo would leave Dallas. They're a Super Bowl contender and run a cover 2 scheme which doesn't leave corners exposed as often. Maybe it's a money issue but I don't get the move.

Thats what happens when you take a talented man coverage db and put him in cover 2/cover 3 zone.

Tommy Casanova is still the best I have seen and I haven't missed many since 69.

Well I know I'm going to get killed for this but I'm a big cowboys fan and I've followed him closely since being drafted. It hasn't been a scheme issue, they've only switched to the cover 2 just two years ago. He's had some issues with laziness and some personal issues with position coaches. Reportedly that had been resolved and it reflected in his play. He's actually been worse in his man coverage than when they're in the 2 shell.

Just a few observations:

AJ Duhe played DL in college, although he was LB in the pros
Tommy Casanova played CB in college although he played safety in the pros (he didn't have the elite speed that they wanted in a corner, he ran a 4.5 or 4.6 40)
