re: All Time LSU Defense - msbargas
Just a few observations: AJ Duhe played DL in college, although he was LB in the pros Tommy Casanova played CB in college although he played safety in the pros (he didn't have the elite speed that they wanted in a corner, he ran a 4.5 or 4.6 40)...

All that extra weight going to slow him down? Seriously though, numbers can be misleading. It's all about how he performs, regardless of his height and weight. ...

re: Clyde Edwards-Helaire - msbargas
"I don't have any regrets whatsoever," said Hilliard, who declined most interview requests after the Saints elected to not offer him a contract for the 1994 season. "I think I had a blessed career in college and also in the NFL. I had a good time along the way, and I did a lot of things people didn'...

re: Arden Key wants to Play at 260lbs - msbargas
Sam Montgomery was a very fast DE when he was around 245. Ran a 4.5 or 4.6 40 yard dash. He gained weight to about 265 his senior year. It really hurt his 40 time. He slowed to about 4.8 in the NFL combine: http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/sam-montgomery?id=2540149...

re: Should Brandon Harris move to WR? - msbargas
He could line up occasionally as a wideout. Back in the 70s. Ensminger was the pocket passer and Woodley was the dual threat guy. Woodley sometimes lined up as WR. Sometimes going out for passes. Other times on reverses or fake reverses with the option to throw downfield. It kept the defense gue...

re: Don't sleep on Lindsey Scott Jr. (Highlights against the first team defense) - msbargas
quote: IMO, if he was good enough to play big time college ball, he would've been offered by big time schools. Only reason he is even at LSU is because their first two choices pulled out last minute. And yes, his height definitely works against him. Well, no other major school even offe...

re: Does our style of RB change with Canada? - msbargas
I would personally like to see Canada branch off of LSU's already fierce power run game into some more spread looks. When the spread was first getting popular I hated it, but now I realize it's apart of the evolution of the sport.
The emphasis on speed and misdirection over the p...

re: 3* LSU RB Commit Clyde Edwards-Helaire re-opens recruitment then reaffirms - msbargas
Agreed. I really like CEH as a player though, I think his size won't be too much of an issue. He can ball and I'm glad he's a tiger
Hes only rated 3* because he is small, but there have been numerous undersized players who became stars. For example Dalton Hilliard in the 1980s....
