re: Is the QB position back open? - msbargas
Etling isn't much better than Harris if at all
Why does it have to be only about them. How about giving McMillan and Scott a chance?...

re: Proof that you can run full on spread offense and still run power football(Long) - msbargas
I understand your concern but you are criticizing Miles' offense for the wrong reasons,
It was and still is so upsetting to me that we are still playing 1970 and 1980 football!
Sure, his offense is ineffective and predictable. That's not because of the era. Have you watched a...

re: Alexander not to shabby in the day - msbargas
Alexander was a very good back. He had size, strength, and speed, but he was somewhat rigid. He lacked the fluidity that you see in great backs like Bo Jackson....

re: Fournette ran the 40 in the low 4.41 - msbargas
Why is this a surprise? It has long been well known that he has run the 40 in 4.35 or less....

re: Great 69 team revisited - msbargas
Orduna had a tough time holding onto the ball fumbling early
Maybe thats why they didn't have him run more. When he held on, he was averaging 4.8 yards per carry, which in those days was pretty good, especially considering it was against the nation's top run defense. http://ww...

re: Great 69 team revisited - msbargas
you could not run on LSU in 69 or 70
Nebraska had some success running the ball against the 70 LSU team. As I recall LSU had a hard time containing Joe Orduna. Tough loss for LSU. http://game.orangebowl.org/orange-bowl-history/the-history-of-the-orange-bowl/1970s/1971/...

It will be interesting if he gets some action next season, as UF did with Tebow when he was a freshman....

re: Could see Kristian Fulton at Safety - msbargas
"Savion will switch to safety before Fulton" That's what I was thinking. Savion has a big frame, much like Eric Reid. He doesn't have the elite speed of a PP7. He's more of a 4.5 or 4.6 40 guy, which is certainly adequate for most situations. Not that 40 times mean that much, but it's always nice...

re: Is Miles really to be blamed for the QB situation at LSU? - msbargas
Interesting. Back in the the day, Louisiana was stacked with numerous quality QBs: Bert Jones, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Fergusson... Why the change?...

re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU per Jimmy - msbargas
Does anyone think he will see significant playing time in 2016? How about on 3rd down situations where all you need is a run or a short pass?...

Aranda and Orgeron - msbargas
Aranda has some unconventional schemes for setting up the defensive line. How will Orgeron adapt to the new system?...

re: Is Les Miles bulletproof now? - msbargas
I wouldn't say we lost steele to a division rival, it was more like we tricked them into paying for our upgrade
Makes you wonder whether this was all planned. Rather than firing Steele, which is not Miles' style, was he encouraged to seek a job elsewhere? The hiring of Aranda was s...

Chavis, Steele, Aranda - msbargas
Last year Chavis' departure resulted in a long wait before finding a replacement (Steele) who received a lukewarm reception. This year Steele's departure resulted in an almost immediate replacement (Aranda) who has received a very positive reception so far. Any insights? ...

re: Impact of Kevin Steele Vs Alabama - msbargas
They should be OK LSU's defense has been less than perfect, but they have risen to the occasion in every game so far. They have had a lot of ups and downs, but the've been tough when they've had to be. I expect the same kind of performance against Alabama....
