The WNBA would be better served to ditch the draft and only sign players as free agents. Then you wouldn't have this sham of drafting 36 players and then waiving 28 of them.

The wnba is a joke. The draft is just for publicity (or lack there of) because why have 36 player draft and only about 10 of those players at the most make teams?

Yes.
They have three rounds of their draft (36 players) and then pretty much only the top half of the first round sticks. Except in Indianapolis where they've cut a top 4 pick 3 years in a row.

The WNBA is a joke! Just when I was going to try to support the league simply because of the LSU ladies. Now, I am officially OUT! They should try out overseas!

On issue for the players is that the WNBA teams can't have women on their practice squad.

For “publicity” AKA drafting a very popular college program’s best players and immediately cutting them. What kind of dipshit marketing strategy is that?
