Negative, i sat in the lower section and wasn't on the bus trip. Just got to the gates early.

You're right. I might be thinking about 2009. They were still doing the moronic system of waiting in line on game day back in 2007. By 2009 they finally wised up and distributed tickets in Baton Rouge.

cola....that will happen very soon. The lower bowl visitor seats will become season tickets and the visiting section will be moved to the upper deck....it will happen.

I made a mistake sry...but go look at the updated seating chart with "visitors seating." There is one lower section. It's orange.

IMO Florida gives the most "decent" seats to visitors of all the large stadiums. But, the bad seats, are probably some of the worst in the SEC, but there really isn't too many of them(less than 1k).

I know for a fact that they are seating students in NN and MM. First few rows of MM and the first couple rows behind the band in NN.

It's mostly because the stadium is so small, but Ole Miss probably gives the best seats for visitors.

ETA: I just realized you put large stadiums, but oh well.

I'm an LSU student who got to the ticket office at 7 o clock, and the best seat they gave us for upper deck was NN row 20....like seriously Bama gumps?

BTW they only gave us about 100 lower seating tickets, and you needed all the home games, 2 away games, and 2 smaller point events to get them

TAF members under 500 can request a ton of tickets. While they may not go they always get their max and sell online. So most of lower tickets were these with the others being for students, families, and faculty. Bama's stadium is big enough to spread the upper seats out more than everyone else. LSU isn't smart enough to so this when they come here.

89k aint exactly small.
Ole Miss is just glad somebody is buying their tickets They can't even sell their sideline seats to all of their games.

Know this for a fact? Every time folks from the administration come on the radio and speak on this issue, they give 101 excuses on why they are having difficulty doing this.

You have to offer a certain amount of lower level seating to SEC visiting teams. LSU offers this minimum.

The largest portion of lower level seating to away games goes to the players/coaches. Each player and coach gets 4 tickets for family/friends. If a player doesn't claim all of their tickets, they usually end up with a TAF big wig.

What most people don't realize is that state and university officials get first dibs on prime seating for away games.
The LSU band takes another 550 lower level seats.
At that point, the remaining tickets are distributed amongst the top LSU people that are a part of LSU operations and football team and family members, and then it moves to TAF ranking.

If Bama gives say 1,500 lower level seats, you had to be likely a top 250 TAF donor to land lower level seats to this game.
