maybe because their eyes see that we return 16 starters on a team that started poorly last year, and ended the year with an 8-4 record. With the same exact QB play that LSU got last year, LSU is still a better team overall than last year based upon all that returning elite talent that now has experience. With the same QB play, they go 9-3 at worst...with just minimal improvement there, they go at least 10-2. No. I would never take anything that isn't a national title. We play for national titles around here. We may not reach that goal most of the time but I never want another season where that isn't the goal.

To answer the question...I'd be disappointed with 9-3. Schedule sets up nicely, and the overall team should be much improved this year based upon finally returning a lot of experience...and in many cases, elite talent. I agree with several in this thread.....10-2 in my lower expectations, and reality is I expect 11-1. This team is setting up just like 2011....it's just that many of you are chicken littles. It will be funny with all the bandwagon fans after week three.

No. 9-3 is acceptable for my alma mater, ULM. LSU has the talent to win double digit games and/or run the table.

I'm with you @ 11-1 & SEC Champs. Too many of these chumps walk around miserable with their lives, hating on their team despite the fact that we are better/more experienced at every position. The same people also think that true freshman should win the heisman trophy and our coach plays certain players based on pride. Its laughable and idiotic.

Miles make or break year is 2016, he could win 7 and he would still be given 2016. Our team will have lots of talent in 2016, if miles isn't at least close to the playoffs that year he should retire or get fired.
