Right now, with all the defections and uncertainty at QB, 9 - 3 seems like overachievement. Anything better would be a miracle.

9-3/5-3 suggests that our QB play in 2015 improved over 2014. So yes, I'd take it. I won't believe we're getting better QB'ing in 2015 until I see it on the field.

No because it guarantees we miss the playoffs. It would probably take a miracle for a 2-loss team to get in...so I'm going with 11-1 to get us to the promised land.

If that is what this "fan base" is to expect, then Lsu has officially become Texas with Mack Brown. Personally, I think they can go 11-1 or 10-2 with the schedule.

No.

When you're a big boy program, the only thing that matters are championships.

I'll take anything better than 8-5. It's not what we want but we should expect better than 8-5.

TF am I getting downvoted for?

because this board is filled with blind homers.

Yes, we all hope that our QB issues are solved, that our D-line plays well, and that we have a great year.

But we have some big issues, and if they don't get worked out, we could see a repeat of last year. I just don't know why people can't open their eyes to this reality.

No. Even though I would predict we'll do worse than that, I wouldn't take it right now because we need a better season than that this year to reverse the decline. Even if there's only a small chance of doing better, we need that chance rather than another mediocre season, which I think 9-4 with another mid-tier bowl loss would be considered.

As in, "hands in pockets, looking around and whistling as if nothing is wrong"?

No, this is LSU. So absolutely not.

Your change of expectations is based on some backups leaving because they weren't going to get playing time???

This team is SO much more talented and mature than the one that we saw take the field in 2014 that went 8-4. There is no reason anyone should want or expect such a minimal improvement.

Double-digit win totals in the regular season is what we should expect from this team... two losses would be a disappointment.
