If he can get to 68% just for the Bama game, we will win the SEC.
58-60% average for the other games would be excellent.

I wasn't aware offenses used the pistol formation or primarily operated out of 3 WR sets in the 1950s. You idiots need to come up with something new & more accurate. It's obvious from that post you know don't pay attention to the actual sets & formations the Tigers run nor do you have any knowledgeable insight in football at all.
BigBrod81 There you are! So you're the guy who's been happy with the offensive results and loves to defend ineptitude. I've heard about your kinda stupid but wasn't convinced it actually existed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Now this is an intelligent counter argument. The rest of you are morons.

Of course not. Remember where you're posting.

You know Matt Flynn completed 56% in 2007 right?
Posted on 8/29/16 at 11:13 am to DaCajun1
We need him to hit the big plays. Stretching the defense and keeping 8 out the box.
That is all, we don't need Drew Brees back there throwing it all over the yard.

You know we had two loses and Miles lucked into that National Championship.

Oh how cute. You are calling someone else stupid all the while you look like the village idiot saying Harris needs to complete 68% of his passes this season for the offense to be any good when all he needs to be is around 60-62%. Here's the thing about stupid people, most times they aren't even aware they are stupid. So continue to show your stupidity while everyone else in this thread points & laughs at your stupid arse.

Seriously. If he can just hit more intermediate passes and move the sticks we'll be more than fine. The passing game, including pass blocking, needs to improve all around. We don't need him to literally be the most accurate passer in the country.

When your passing playbook is as elementary and deficient as Miles' then you have to hit at a higher percentage.
This is laughably ridiculous. Execution is what matters in any system, and when you pass and dink and dunk your way down the field almost every play like some of the systems some people like this board advocate, you need to complete just as much if not more than Les's system. Our system isn't perfect, but it isn't as inherently flawed as some of you seem to think.
60% average would be amazing and would definitely make us a more than capable offense.

No fanbase can discount their own National Championship than the LSU fanbase.

Looking back at the SEC the last several years, the top QB's (say top 5 or so) are usually at or above 61 percent.
If you up Harris' cmp% to 61 as well as factor in a McNeese game that didn't happen, his hypothetical numbers are 2,600 yards and 14 touchdowns.
I wouldn't have minded that from a first year starter. I feel like we'll need more than that this year though.

This thread is elementary

68% completion percentage for Harris
That's asking entirely too much out of a, primarily, run first offense. I don't think our offense is from the 1950s, they've just lacked in execution. 60% is reasonable and more than sufficient for LSU to be on top of the college football world. 68% is one hell of a stretch. We don't need him to be one of the top passers in the game. Just make plays on 3rd down and don't turn the ball over and we'll be there. Too many doom and gloom bitches on here think he has to be the best QB in the country when he doesn't even need to be the best QB in the conference or even the division for that matter. Chill the frick out.
