Hey Ricky. How us doing tonight????? Lol. Bottom line is that I have said all along that lsu will end up being as good as the qb play will take them. So far so good. Harris has gotten better. But there is only one stat that matters. Zero turnovers. Again the lsu fan base will never be happy unless we have a Baylor type offense that scores 60 points a game and has a 2011 lsu type defense.

name the program better than lsu OTHER THAN bama. pick your own time frame. state your criteria. justify said criteria.

i ask for this at least once a month and NEVER get it.

Don't you think a more accurate comparison would be to post something like our total passing yards for each year, 2006 - 2014? And include all the years you skipped? And post how LSU ranked each of those years in passing in A) the SEC, and B) The nation?

This isnt accurate either. Les Miles will not run up the score. 06, jmarc sat on the bench by the 3rd in the blow outs. same with Mett in 13. Jennings basically played 2.5 games. He went victory formation with 5 minutes left against Ole Miss. The yards easily could have been had to boost the national rankings. And in some cases just a few yards could be the difference in a few spots.

Baylor had the game won and their starting qb is now out. Even with two minutes left and up 18 they were still throwing the ball with the back up.

You are quoting the best snippets from each year and comparing them to each other
they are objective facts which challenge the notion that miles is incompetent when it comes to qb's. there is no question that lee, mett and harris have gotten better under miles. if jefferson didn't have so many drops, his numbers would have improved too. you can make the point that miles has improved every qb he's coached. jefferson is the exception which is unfortunate because he played for so long and that is where the misconception comes from. jennings might be better this year but, we wouldn't know it because harris' improvement vaulted him into the role.

I still think it would be a pretty potent offense with the things we are doing on offense this season.

Not the same in the red zone.. at all.

Even last year Harris got this team into the end zone, because he truly possesses the ability to score throwing and running.

Jennings accounted for zero rushing tds last season.. Harris in limited time had 3. Harris had that streak of getting LSU into the end zone on 10 straight possessions last season or something close to that.. I still think Jennings is a solid backup, but Harris has something about his efficient play that gets this team scoring TDs and not settling for fgs as often either.

Do you really believe your BS? Jennings wasn't going to start regardless of the arrest. Why is so fricking hard for some to accept that Harris was just not ready last year??

Yup.

Miles wouldn't let that stop him if Jennings was the better option.

True freshman QBs do not really start much in the SEC.. Sure RS frshman QBs have success, but again 1 year in the program makes all the difference in the world.

I actually agree with you.

He didn't seem that bad in that interview to me. Seemed like a logical answer he gave when asked about Steele and LSU's defense. Is way more tense these days than in the days he was at LSU. Maybe it's just because he was a lot younger and fresher then.

(WTF, watching the Pelicans and posted in the wrong thread)

FYI - the passing game in 2011 wasn't terrible leading up to Alabama part 1. I believe Only 1 interception had been thrown all year up to that point. After that game, the offense completely regressed, capped by 1/9.

Not saying this will happen again, but Les has not yet faced adversity this season, similar to 2011. If he quits going all fetal position when shot gets tough, then I'll concede his way.

Easy there cowboy, we are hitting the meat of the schedule right now. While I hope your prediction is right, why don't we wait and see how this thing shakes out.

Still. If you were told before the season that by week 8 lsu would be 6th in the country in yards per play, you'd say that person had mental problems.

I don't know about that.Bham Dore and Northalabamacracker on the sec rant are 2 of the dumbest individuals I've ever come in contact with. They are the type of individuals that make you question evolution and survival of the fittest.

Bham Dore actually said we have no play makers on def except Beckwith. When I linked ESPN STATS showing Lewis Neal as 2nd in the conference in sacks and Adams tied for 3rd in ints, he ran like a bitch

I should have limited it to TRant. I wasn't even thinking of the SEC site.
