If that's true, then it's probably hard to resist for him. He wants to play that street ball that he got to play at Karr and this way he doesn't have to change his game that much.

Does anyone actually believe this? I'm sorry but this doesn't pass the smell test. Doesn't A&M have a top ranked QB commit, too?

I don't want to see our best kids play out of state but I will watch him to see how he does. The kid is faster and just as sudden and athletic than manziel.

Sumlin told him he could play quarterback.

First off, I call bullshite. Besides, even if this were true, East Jefferson's D made him look like shite at QB, I'm sure LSU's D could handle it.

Why Speedy went to A&M
I think the reason he went to A&M is because he feels like he will be showcased in their offense and doesn't like the idea of blocking for Fournette for 3 to 4 years.

Just liked our two 1,000yds receivers did for Hill???

Whos shitty alter you?

Speedy would prob be a better qb anyway.

He was an awful QB in high school. Shep was much better.

Its pretty well known the pitch was 4 positions. Qb, WR, kick returner and CB with maybe a little RB. It was the reason a lot of TAM insiders were confident as were the TAM coaches.

Right. So they signed the #1 incoming QB and they are going to wildcat package a true freshman. Sumlin is dirtier than I thought.

For our offense, yes. Quinn's ratings may be the biggest joke in recruiting history.

I'm gonna get blasted for this, but well frick it. Speedy was a luxury get for us. Outside of maybe Beckham/Holliday, if you can call their skill set close, no player like that has really done anything at LSU since Miles has been here. It's also very rare that we get these type of guys anyway. I mean Jakhiri Gore, Shepard (maybe), Beckham (kinda), Holliday (sorta), and....

Beckham really didn't blow up for us til his third year, but in a passing spread, he can get the ball a hell of a lot in screens and 5 yard dump offs.

Just watched the Sugar Bowl and all OU did was screen Baa to death, then throw bombs. Little 5 yard passes and read option, uptempo style.

Not sure if you're being serious, but this is completely false. They told him he could play all 4 WR positions, not the 4 positions you listed. I think we need to stop digging for reasons. He wants to play in that wide open offense. End of story. It wasn't shady recruiting tactics or insane promises. On to the next one. Dupre fits our system better, anyway.

Why is it hard for everyone to fathom Speedy getting wildcat snaps at QB? He isn't going to throw a bunch of passes, but I can see him taking a few snaps here and there where he almost exclusively runs the ball. Honestly I wish LSU would have offered some wildcat QB snaps; it's no different than Jennings coming in for running packages or the Warecat, and we would have a dynamic player staying home.

He could have filled OBJ's role for us, but if we're being honest with ourselves, he's going to get more touches at A&M. He's a "me first" player if you watch him (especially in the title game this year) so it's no surprise he wants to go where he thinks he can shine individually

Ah come on... You really want a bunch of group think without any other view point? Just kidding. .. I actually do enjoy reading football talk of any sort. .. Even if it is on another schools board.
