It is bigger than Monroe and about the same size as Shreveport. Both of those city produce more recruits. Even lake Charles often manages to produce more talent.

Why are schools like more like Acadiana, Comesux, Tuerlings, and STM not putting out players every year?

Forgot about Northside.

Why is my D bigger than all of my friends? Some questions are better left unanswered.

Yep. Lafayette is over 70% white while Shreveport is over 50% African-American and Monroe over 60% African-American. The end.

Same could be said for Alexandria. Smaller than Laffy, but almost never produces D1 football talent. The kid who played for OU is the last one I remember, and Blake Miller is the last LSU player, unless I'm forgetting somebody. Quite a bit of basketball and baseball talent, though.

Closer to 80%.

West Monroe is 82% white though and pumps out talent.

Lafayette has produced some pretty significant names on the diamond through the years.

Hey I'm not giving any of them a pass just saying Ouachita, Jackson and Richland Parishes pump the talent not the suburbs of West Monroe

Relax.
Lafayette compensates by outperforming the entire state in other qualities.
It's little brother image creates outsized expressions of penis envy, self doubt and self exaggeration. ( see, for example, the Claim that Laffy is as big as Shreveport).

Well have you seen the athletic facilities at the public schools in lafayette? Way behind the rest of the state. Waaay behind. Its an embarrassment. You could say that they lack these facilities to make the academic side of the schools better, but you can't say that either. The roads suck. As a matter of fact, this makes me wonder where exactly my taxes are going. But that's an entirely different issue all together. Often times when Lafayette does get a big time recruit though he goes to LSU. I can't remember the last time LSU wanted a kid from here and he went elsewhere. Can't say that about most places, even Baton Rouge.

That's a lot of people in north Louisiana who were either born in Africa or have dual citizenship because their parents were born in Africa. Why is that?

Pretty comparable actually. Shreveport the city may be bigger than the city of Lafayette but the Lafayette Metro Area is bigger than the Shrevport-Bossier Metro Area.

And yet Louisiana produces more D1 and NFL players per capita then any other state.

Blacks. North Louisiana has a much larger black contingent compared to Lafayette.
