Wasn’t Greedy a 3 star?
No, just an overlooked high four star because we got two 5 star corners in that class. Has to be the best cornerback class ever signed...Greedy, Fulton and Savion.

Good list.
Honorable mention: Brad Wing
Surely, I was undecided if I should add him. Quite few good kickers are 3 star or no star.

It's hard to believe that freak show Debo Jones only started his senior year!

Morris Claiborne by a mile. Would be a 2 time All American if Patrick Peterson wasn't on the opposite side of him his sophomore year. Was the Thorpe Award winner and consensus All American as a junior.

I don’t think Mo Claiborne played much corner in HS. He played some, but his team wasn’t very good and needed him on offense.
He was primarily a QB, but also played WR and some RB. He was the only weapon they had and lined him up all over the field.
He was rated as an Athlete, not CB. Sometimes recruiting services evaluate and project those type of players correctly, and sometimes they don’t. Mo didn’t attend a lot of camps, so not many people saw him up close.
The important thing is that LSU coaches properly evaluated him and worked him out at camp. I remember a lot of people were upset when he committed. There were big fish on the board and the class was filling up. They were mad the coaches were wasting one of the last spots on a 3*.

Kendall McCallam for this season. Heard on Tiger Roar show a lot of Alabama fans very upset LSU got him instead of Saban. Said he was a beast in practice and in the Alabama versus Mississippi All Star football game. History-wise, I'd go with Tyson Jackson.

I'd say honey badger. Wasn't Corey Webster a 3 star as well though?

I don't know what star he was but I do know he signed as a WR and Saban said he wanted his best athletes on D and moved him to corner. Webster has given him credit for paving his career many times.

Claiborne was a UNANIMOUS All-American in 2011. Not even Tyrann Mathieu was a unanimous AA that year even though he was a Heisman Trophy finalist.

If you’re looking for the most underrated recruit (regardless of *-rating), then it very well may be Cole Tracy.

Not sure with Webster. The star ratings may not have been around when he came out of HS, not positive about that though. I think Tyrann was a low 4, may have been a high 3. If he was a 3 then yea, I'd have to go with him. Morris Claiborne was either a 2 or 3, so was Brandon Lefell. McCallum is just insanely underrated. I'd say most of that has to do with the fact Saban didn't recruit or didn't offer rather than his game film. Anybody that witnessed his play in the practices and in that all star game know that dude is a 4 star player, if not a 5.

It will be Juco TE McClendon. Seen this guy multiple times. I live 5 blocks from Co-lin. This kid is gonna bawl out. Don't be surprised if he is starting Aug. 31st.

Honey Badger or Hester.
Good with either.

From the list above, Claiborne easily in college. He was a better college CB that Peterson.
Jones likely gets the pro nod but Jalen Mills isnt bad nor was his college career. He deserves more credit than he gets for his career at LSU.

Tyson Jackson
3star to the #3 overall pick in the draft.

Just because Mathieu did get a bump just before the end of his recruitment, I have to go with Jacob Hester but I also want to throw Debo in there not necessarily because of overall career, but because of how strong he finished. I still can't find memory of an overall better coverage linebacker that we've had in the last 20 years.

Mills didn't he start every game in his career at lsu? I remember thinking he was so underrated like 18yo out there starting. I know he played a lot his true freshmen year.
