I didn't realize that LA was being so heavily recruited by Pac-12 teams. This LA was treated like TX or Florida. Three JC kids signed to play our west. LINK

I wonder if the writer of that article did enough homework to know that only one of those JC kids heading west (Kenny Young) even had an offer from LSU, and he was dead set on leaving the state from the beginning

Well I can tell you one sport we wont be losing any La. recruits to UCLA in and that is baseball. Their baseball stadium isn't very impressive . Right next to a big cemetery and as you enter you have to dodge a hive full of bee's.

Saw that when LSU went to regional in baseball at UCLA a few years back.

LSU does not have to worry about other schools for baseball prospects. Mainieri's big worry is the draft.

Yep...and once they change the ball next season UCLA will be up the creek. You won't be able to bring a team to Omaha without being well-rounded. They were VERY fortunate the new park is turned the wrong direction...and the ball doesn't carry downtown...and the seams are raised.

I hope we get to play them in the CWS in 2015 and go Gorilla Ball on them!

This is a stupid as the "fence is down" attitude.
Louisiana has always been a great area for HS athletes...do your homework...it has been going on for years.

Chris Markey from Jesuit and Chad La Rose from Brother Martin both went to UCLA. The Bruins have always had a presence in the New Orleans area.

I hope this was intentional.
