re: What Country Produces The Best Beer? - calitiger
Cask ales are the way to go in Britain. Find a CAMRA recommended pub and you're in business. Stay away from tourist traps because they usually only carry crappy lagers and megabrewery garbage....

re: What Country Produces The Best Beer? - calitiger
The US. Then I would go with Belgium and the UK. Underrated for beer is Sweden which has an amazing brewing scene right now. Germany is fine but the purity laws really hamper creativity. ...

re: mls vs english leagues - calitiger
I think that's accurate. I would say solidly League One. The quality of play in MLS has steadily improved over the years. When it started I would have said League Two, maybe lower table League One....

re: Match Day 3/11 - calitiger
To be honest, I thought Monk might sit Ayling today because of accumulated yellows. I'm listening to the radio broadcast and we sound like absolute shite. Between this and Scotland playing the sassanach at Twickenham I may have to start drinking earlier than I anticipated....

re: Match Day 3/7 - Fulham v Leeds Thunderdome; Also UCL - calitiger
Pedraza also missed a sitter for Leeds. A good match overall and a deserved draw for both sides. Like I said, Fulham is the last team I want to play in the playoffs. Give me Huddershite any day....

re: Match Day 3/7 - Fulham v Leeds Thunderdome; Also UCL - calitiger
Word from my mates the Mighty Whites disembark from their coach is that Luke Ayling and Chris Wood are both no shows. Apparently Wood has a calf strain and Luke Ayling's wife has gone into labor. Not good if true....

re: Leeds Promotion Watch Thread - calitiger
I would like to get an idea of how many would attend meetups and if it's worth it. I know that once we get promoted life-long Leeds supporters will come out of the woodwork. I will tolerate some plastics but not to the extent that people don't sing our songs or couldn't pick out Leeds on a map. If y...

re: Leeds Promotion Watch Thread - calitiger
Just out of curiosity, who here lives in New Orleans or the surrounding area? I've been authorized by LUA to organize an official supporters group here. I'm thinking of printing t-shirts and getting recognized by LUFC so we would have access to tickets, etc. As of right now, everything is in the exp...

re: Leeds Promotion Watch Thread - calitiger
Reading no doubt. Probably the weakest of the promotion zone teams right now. The Piggies are a derby match and those can be much more difficult to handicap. A lot of football left to be played so we'll see what transpires over the next two months. MOT!...
