I really think the problem is a little more complicated than that. Miles needs to let go of the playcalling and leave it entirely in the hands of his OC. I just do not think he has enough of an Xs and Os expertise to be able to fix this.
Miles needs to completely stay out of the game preparation/clock management/personnel decisions and let his assistants do it. He can recruit and hire, but he will never outwit another coach if the talent is equal.

When did he join the coaching staff? Something I missed?

By the way, when will Trent Dilfer develop ?

One game after we already beat their arse at their house.
The rematch was unfair and disrespectful to LSU.
Without it $abun would have lost 2 times in row to Miles. Without Nov 5, $abun cant change his teams identity for the BCS BS game.
This perception is going to become reality if its not stopped. CLM better address some shite today. IMO

He may not have been a great QB, but he can slap you upside your head with his Super Bowl ring.

Yet Matt Flynn throws for 400+ as a backup for Packers
So I understand he graduated from LSU. but do you realize he has been under Mike McCarthy's tutelage for the last few years?

JMac - #1 pick; and Matt Flynn - #1 Free agent QB this offseason would disagree.

This perception has been cemented by the last three years. We are beyond the effect of Les' words to change this perception.
What we need to correct the perception (which is justified, btw) is a couple of years of productive offense with throwing the ball downfield and allowing our stud WRs to make plays. We don't have to abandon the run (and we should not) we merely have to complement the run.

COwherd also said LSU fans are delusional thinking they should win the BCS every year.

Problem is, in college, you beat teams FIRST with recruiting, THEN with coaching. Miles had been great at the first category.
If he gets mediocre at that, he's in trouble.

JMac - Flop
Flynn - Developed in the NFL over last several years

Hey, if you don't want to be fodder, then don't put yourself in that position. Les Miles deserves it.

I think we will find out next year if it's a QB Development thing or a JJ/JL thing. If Mett cracks under pressure or seems mentally incapable, then i will start to question the current staff. Otherwise, frick Dilfer and all the other so called pundits on the Texas Bama network. Dilfer is a piece of shite who thinks he knows more than he really does and who himself was very below average.

How? most of his development occurred before he stepped foot on campus.
Our best QBs over the last 10 years have come from Dinardo and Saban.

I personally cannot stand to hear this man speak or look at him. So I find everything he says to be bs.

The overreaction to the BCS NCG is getting stupid. So based on 1 game we cant develop a QB now?
It is justified. Jarrett Lee DID improve over time, but that's due to him doing home and working with his dad in the off season (per his words). His production seemed to slip each year as the season wore on and he was under LSU's coaches.
Miles knows this to be true, that's WHY he hired Krags. The problem is HE benched the number #1 QB in the SEC for a player who regressed over time and who could barely muster 30 yards a game against an above average defense.

I believe these things all balance out. All of the shite LSU is taking right now, in the off-season when it isn't a huge deal, will be paid back when they tee it up for 2012-2013. LSU will win the title where the Saints won their last SB and the Saints will win another SB at home in the Dome!!!!
