He said that the great HS quarterbacks look to see if they can be developed for the NFL and that LSU is not the place right now given the BCS game.

And Notre Dame is? Trent is piling on BCSCG was probably the only LSU game he saw all year.

The overreaction to the BCS NCG is getting stupid. So based on 1 game we cant develop a QB now? Did he fail to mention JL and JJ had by far their best years this year under the new coach Kragthorpe? Crowton was a dumpster fire but Krags clearly did a good job with what he was dealt.

He is accurate. You really can't blame top flight QB's for questioning their future when considering LSU as their school. Krags did a great job, but he isn't being allowed the reins. Les Miles offense is whey we struggle getting top flight QB's. It wasn't clear to me until the BCS MNC.

Yet we had the #1 QB commit in the nation that wanted to be coached by Kragthorpe. Cowherd and Dilfer are so one-dimensional and do absolutely ZERO research on anything they discuss.

Crowton isn't here anymore, and while he didn't do anything, we did have the #1 draft pick in the NFL Draft in the last decade. Matt Flynn will likely get paid this offseason and has a record in the Green Bay Packers history book.

Hard to imagine that in 4 years, that's the best JJ could do.

Just a terrible qb.

This. It's just a blip. We prepared JR. (his failure is on him) We prepared Flynn. Mett will be the next.

Dilfer ran the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp and knows that the top guys are mainly focused on getting into the NFL. We lost what he considers an very strong NFL quarterback because of poor quarterback development.

Hopefully Metsiah will change that the next two years.

You know, people wouldn't be talking like that about LSU had the coaches done everything possible to win that game. You know, like trying to pass the ball down the field. That embarrassment on college football's biggest stage was a huge hit to Les Miles' reputation, and he can't use his special Les Miles jargon to talk that away. After the Tennessee game in 2010, Les Miles was a laughing stock nationally. However, Miles led LSU to something like a 15-2 record over the next 17 games, and throttled some of the best teams in college football in the process. At that point his reputation was as high as it's ever been. The only way he'll ever win people back is to win another championship or two.

The devil is going his thing

the QB problems at LSU are well known and noted:

BUT!!!!! People forget that we just went 13-0 and won the SEC through T-town, Oregon, WVU, UF and others.

One Loss, and the media act LSU is a 2nd rate program over night

That's really all we can hope for is that Mett comes out and Miles lets go of those tight reins and gets after it and people will look back and say that the MNC was just an aberration.

it seems that way by the timing of all of this BS, but I'm not really sure that is the reason. Staying close to home was a major issue in Gunner's recruitment. Outside of UGA and Bama, LSUs QBs played pretty damn good this year, but everyone wants to make the story: Gunner left because of the NC game, so they arent gonna state LSU as having the #1 passing effeicency in the SEC.
