San Francisco?

Vanderbilt is "looking". I don't see any top programs who are offering.

If he is good enough for Florida and Vanderbilt (they are recruiting him as well) I would think he is good enough for LSU.

Check the link on page 2 buddy.

Drexel, Hofstra, Iona, Auburn, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Syracuse, LSU, Washington State, Florida, Vandy, Tennessee.

Need anymore? Is that enough to change your mind?

All of those are "looking" at him. I'm sure a lot of teams looked at Ben Voogd too.

That many teams looking at the guy should tell you something. Nobody can technically offer him a scholarship yet anyway so all anyone can do is look.

It tells me that teams have open scholarships, and at this point, teams are scrambling to fill in roster spots.

I'd prefer to save the spot.

You think programs like Cuse, Florida, Vandy, Ohio St are just looking for a warm body to fill up a spot?

The dude was literally released TODAY!

You are complaining that he hasn't been offered?

Teams are trying to acquire film, scouting reports, line up visits, etc. Some will offer, some won't. Chill.

And don't complain too hard about warm bodies. We actually need a few. If that's all he is, he won't last.

When they have nba draft defections, yes.

That's not even a relevant argument. If the guy is good enough to be a warm body at any of those programs that means he will start at LSU given our front court depth.

Great game. Gathers is one of the best college players I've ever seen. People forget that both he and Kimble had grade problems or they could've played just about anywhere. Think at least Gathers was committed to USC at one point.

They both played at USC before transferring to LMU. There was another guy that transferred to Pepperdine I think.

Was it 148? Dang, my memory is fading in my old age!
Still, an even better discount!

This is from the moderator of a UConn board, so I cannot attest to the accuracy of it.

quote:

Tobe Okafor Update
Had the chance to speak with his HS coach. I was told that Tobe isn't nearly a High Major D-1 level prospect. He also added that he wants to kill who ever broke (Alex Kline) his decommitment from LMU. Speaking of LMU I was told that LMU let him go, he didn't decommit, and that his grades aren't at a qualifying level. Expect Tobe to end up being a JUCO player.
