Realize that there is NOTHING you can do about it but let this year pan out. Following recruiting can be as hard on a fan as watching your team go into overtime. The only thing to do is wait til about a month before signing day and see who is on board, or you can put yourself through hell until then, then start the process over again.

15 out of staters did not decommit last year. We usually lose 2-3 anyway, so did Saban.

My take:

-He skipped UT Junior Day 2 weeks ago.
-He made it to LSU Junior Day, which is the same distance.
-In December he said if LSU offered he'd likely jump on it.
-He's an EE
-He said he's not taking any more visits (but we'll see)
-He doesn't have a UT offer yet and was supposed to get it next weekend on a visit

That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if he switched but I don't think it's a stone cold lock that he does.

SE Texas has always been an LSU hotbed -- Addai, Faneca, #4 Charles Alexander, Tolliver.

Add: Flynn and a couple of stud lineman, like Ciron Black.

We don't get whoever, wherever we want -- but we've always been able to grab a few good players from SE Texas over the years.

Obviously the early out of state commits of late have not panned out.

You're right. I'll tell Travis Dickson, Sam Gibson, Zach Lee, Justin Maclin, Luke Muncie, Brandon Worle, Spencer Ware, Dominique Allen, Drayton Calhoun, Chris Garrett, Kevin Minter, Russell Shepard, Chancey Aghayere, Ryan Baker, Karnell Hatcher, Patrick Peterson, Greg Shaw, Joseph Barksdale, Stevan Ridley, Terrance Toliver and Kelvin Sheppard to hit the road because we lost Davis, Marsh and Hunter last year so we are only taking commitments from in State guys like Janzen Jackson, Kenny Bell, DeAngelo Benton and Luther Davis.

I swear, some people have no perspective and just wonder around in a woe is me/Debbie Downer haze.

Trevon Randle is a stud LB which we haven't had in a long time and desperately need. Let's just be glad he has committed to LSU instead of projecting him to spurn us. How about this reason, we are a legitimate National Power who has won two NC's in the past ten years as well as multiple SEC championships and have a very good roster full of very good athletes and he is needed by LSU and will likely play a signifigant role if he comes here.

Welcome aboard Mr. Randle!!!

He didn't skip he was rescheduled for the next Jr say. Texas is interested but he will have to wait for an offer. Kinda like the Nathan Hughes situation.

He was re-scheduled? Who re-scheduled him, Mack? Is that a ploy to "slow-play" him?

Will, we'll see. Me, I don't think he jumps ship. Ifin he does, I wouldn't be shocked. And if he jumps ship, I just hope he does it soon.
I can only say that I'm really exited about his committment and will follow this one all the way to NSD.

Texaswill, any idea how long Texas plans to keep Hughes waiting. Also, do you know if we are his no. 2 choice at this point.

Texaswill, how do you think the Texas DE situation plays out. ex. Reed to Texas, Texas passes on Hughes, Hughes to LSU? or is Oklahoma a "serious player" in this. your thoughts?

he wants to be a part of the number 1 class in the country, that and the fact that we will win a NC this year.

I think we will end up with Reed and even if we don't get Rasco I'm not sure if Hughes will get offered.

Ok he may get offered my Texas at their second Jr day, and I can see a kid from Texas checking it out. However being from Houston and if he does not go to the second Jr day leads me to believe he is a Texan who is not a fan of Texas. So its LSU all the way if Texas is a non player.

Who is projecting him to spurn us? I am very glad he's committed and would love to see him in BR. Maybe you need to go back and read my original post, which simply asked if there is anything in depth or personal about his committment that perhaps wasnt there with some of the recent decommits. Its pretty easy to take on statement from someone's post and bash it. You're an idiot if you think Im projecting or wanting him to decommit.
