The fact that Davis burned us does not mean Randle will.

i realize that. Im just asking if there is any insider info that would solidify him more... Everything is suspect this far away but just sniffing, hoping he will be different.

I have some insider information for you.

Geography, geography, geography...don't underestimate the power of geography.

Dallas to Austin = 3hrs - Thus, the Davis decommit when Dallas to BR is a 7 hr drive.

Virginia Beach, VA to Knoxville, TN = 8.5hrs - Thus, UTenn is much closer than BR. VA Beach to BR - 17.5hrs. Thus, the Hunter decommit.

Now try this one for size:

Randle is from League City, TX...

East Houston (League City, TX) to Austin, TX = 3.5hrs. (possibly 4 to 4.5hrs if you can't afford to take the Sam Houston Tollway during heavy traffic in Houston). And, how far to BR? 4.5 hrs

That is much, much better odds than the other two decommit scenarios of Hunter and Davis. And, Houston kids like LSU. Many of them grow up fans and have relatives in LA.

Obviously the early out of state commits of late have not panned out. Tell me what's different about the Randle situation.

It's not that you are wanting him to decomit, but you are keeping that negative wave of Davis/Hunter/Marsh going instead of focusing on positives like Ware/Gibson/Lee/Maclin. I'm just tired of seeing that woe is me attitude and took it out on this post.

Not at all, just the opposite actually. I'm looking for positives that would solidify him. Look at post history b4 you call someone negative. You're off base with me. I understand your point though.

Maybe the title of the thread could be better

Texas site this morning says they lead for Edmonds. they already have moss. thats 2 at LB. after these 2 they are looking at higher rated out of state guys. the situation with Davis was he "endured" watching a pathetic LSU offense versus a potent Texas offense. Our defense fits Randle better than Texas.

i think he did a good job of telling you why he wont decommit and backed it up with evidence of other oos players.

I've got no problem with you Big. You're a pretty good poster. I'm just tired of people saying we are doing so poorly with OOS recruits when it's the exact opposite. We did really well with OOS recruits and besides Reid, our best recruits are from OOS. And this was the third or fourth post which started the "T. Randle will decommit talk".

That probably didn't help.

You are one really negative SOB -- SE Texas has always been an LSU hotbed -- Addai, Faneca, #4 Charles Alexander, Tolliver. Tell me why you think he will de-commit.

he wants us to pat him on the back and say, "there, there" its going to turn out fine. You can relax darlin'"

The adults know, life is shite and then you die. If you are lucky, you are able to win a few.

NO ONE frickING KNOWS what 17 yr olds are going to do.

yes, we are on thin ice. We need 17 yr olds. That in itself should prep you that sometimes it wont work out.
But you know that. Kiffin will come along and pretend-offer a job to the kid's father, like happened with K.K from Lake Charles, now DB at UT.

Here, lean on my shoulder: "There, there, its going to be fine, honey pie". "The Texas coach will be found with a stripper and USC will be penalized into the dark ages, by the efficient and honest NCAA. Kiffin will be fired for cause."

There, dont you feel better now?

You're right. I'll tell Travis Dickson, Sam Gibson, Zach Lee, Justin Maclin, Luke Muncie, Brandon Worle, Spencer Ware, Dominique Allen, Drayton Calhoun, Chris Garrett, Kevin Minter, Russell Shepard, Chancey Aghayere, Ryan Baker, Karnell Hatcher, Patrick Peterson, Greg Shaw, Joseph Barksdale, Stevan Ridley, Terrance Toliver and Kelvin Sheppard to hit the road because we lost Davis, Marsh and Hunter last year so we are only taking commitments from in State guys like Janzen Jackson, Kenny Bell, DeAngelo Benton and Luther Davis.

I swear, some people have no perspective and just wonder around in a woe is me/Debbie Downer haze.

Perfect. Thank you for your service to the depressed.

Here is the Buddhist take on it:
Things will either
get better
get worse
or stay the same.

If it gets better or stays the same we are fine.

In every moment, it can get even better, even worse
or stay the same.
