I think if Turner were playing a position at WM that he will play in college, things would be different...

but then again, McGee is getting plenty of love...so who knows.

not bad list, and I don't mean to nit pick, but I'm curious to what you base some of these rankings on? Lewis ran a terrible 40 at the Army game and has no film, don't get how you rate him over Magee and some other names (Byrd). Don't think you can seriously rank guys based on measurables over guys w/ legit film out. For instance Austin has better measurables, but Trai Turner is a much better player.

Look at their numbers and explain it to me. Turner and Landry are the same height, but Turner is thicker, stronger, and faster. He plays in one of the top programs in the nation so exposure isn't a problem.

Landry: 5'11" 185 4.55 40 4.42 shuttle vert 27.3
Turner: 5'11" 190 4.45 40 4.12 shuttle vert 36.5

We've all seen both of their highlight videos. I'm not saying Turner is 100% better than Landry. I'm asking why there is such a HUGE gap between the two in recruiting hype.

you can just look at the video and see that Turner does not have Landry's ability. Throw out all the measurables you want, but he's simply not on Landry's level.

agree with books. Lewis down, Trai Turner up. Flemming on.

I think his rankings are good and he doesn't have a lot to go on right now. They will continue to get revised but I also agree Lewis is a bit high. But LSU does do a great job evaluating WRs...if that is where they plan to put him.

I know there are major grade issues, but Churphy Steward is a top 30 guy imo. Maybe you left him off because of grades or do you think he is not a top 30 guy? As always, Lynx

True about the terrible 40. In all honesty, I had forgotten about the bad AAA performance he had. His ranking may be too inflated right now based on the early offer. He was one of the first players in the entire state, so at this point, I am having to give credence to that.

I've got Austin and Trai ranked right next to each other because I didn't want to make a mistake putting them somewhere sight unseen. I don't see a real issue with having them next to one another this early.

T.K. Fleming is someone I probably should have had on the list that I missed. Again, there is nothing really to go on.

This is really a preliminary list more than anything. It brings the big names we will follow to the forefront a little more, but I don't think it will be a true representation of a solidified rankings list when film is available on everyone.

You are such a WM homer.

Landry is just a better football player than Turner. Sorry.

I think he is bringing up valid points. And he is making it clear he isn't knocking Landry.

it's your rankings, so that's all good. But since you're attempting to rank players, Turner should be a good bit higher imo after seeing St. Aug play. A top 10-12 followed by a watch list may be a better way of doing it this early, but again, it's your deal

I don't know that you can make a valid argument for Paul Turner legitimately being better than Jarvis Landry.

But I guess that's just me.

Agreed. It's the first time I've tried this, so there may be a better way to do it in the future. If I did a top 10 and then a watch list, I think we would all be more comfortable with it. I'll probably do that in the future.

I think he is just surprised/annoyed that PT hasn't gotten any publicity.

If Turner shows out at CB in a camp, then he will become a cherished player. But right now now one knows if he can play there.

I'll go out on a limb here and make a statement for Lynx, based off of my experience in doing things for this board.

The list, while it created and maintained by him, is really for the TD.com RB. He doesn't want it to be only his thoughts, he wants it to reflect the feelings of all the major contributors to this board. If he was doing it for himself, he wouldn't take the time to put it all into writing, he has his ideas in his head.

You know what I mean?

Landry blew everyone up at camps over the summer against the nations elite... What did Turner do to counter this and put himself in the same conversation? I actually think Turner is a very good athlete(maybe at safety), but have seen zero evidence that he is on Landry's level at WR
