I heard he's not even that good at soccer

As in there are many kids in the BR area better than him at soccer. The same cannot be said for football.

Yes, I know that. I actually like soccer a lot. Just using it as an example of how Drake might of gotten pissed at something and been like frick this. Still pretty crazy. Like some have said, he's not even very good at soccer, so that just makes it even more head scratching. I understand if he just loves soccer, but just looking at it from an outsiders perspective, it appears as though he's wasting a lot of talent.

Soccer has always been his first love.

I knew the OC at Dunham last year. He said Drake always preferred soccer to football.

Yep. Even in middle school, he was more interested in Messi than Megatron.

That said, I'm not expecting this to stick for very long. Someone will convince him to go back and play football.

The ones making that money now were in soccer-oriented training academies at Davis' age. Not playing high school and on the fields at Burbank.

Never said he doesn't have a chance, he just doesn't have that good of a chance.

In fact, considering an American has never been a top 200 paid soccer player in the world, it'd be historical.

Not in America. Not for Americans.

I guess this will start to happen from time to time in the coming years as soccer becomes a little more popular. It's pretty laughable to me, but it's good that he knows what he wants and is pursuing it.

I love soccer but unless he's signing with an academy in Europe this decision doesn't make much sense financially. Of course, we'll see what happens when MLS and the players renegotiate their CBA next year.

There is a better CHANCE to make money in soccer given the amount of pro leagues in the world vs that of being a pro football player.

Not if you aren't a D1 caliber soccer player.
