it's all about competition. if rasco wants to play in the best league to prepare him for the n.f.l. then he'll come to the s.e.c.

if he rather not, then he'll go to f.s.u. where the competition isn't as tough.

Jimbo is tearing up the recruiting trails this year.

Hope it works out for him however, he would probably be better off at LSU unless he is concerned about the competition.

I personally see having Florida State up as a net gain for LSU since it has to hurt Bama and UF in recruiting somewhat.

I felt confident LSU would get him until FSU lost Aaron Lynch. After losing Lynch, FSU is going to push extra hard.

He locked on to FSU early. As of the first of this month, I believe it was the only official visit he had taken.

As far as where he is in the recruiting process, Rasco is playing catch-up. Outside of his visit to Tallahassee, Fla., Rasco said he cut off all contact with coaches and reporters during the fall in order to focus on his senior season, which ended with a 2A state championship title. “I had my mind made up that I wanted to win the state championship and I’m not going to let the recruiting process get to me,” he said. “I took care of it myself with not answering my phone.”

Doesn't really need to take an "official" visit to LSU as he's probably seen the campus a number of times

Those two schools have always pissed me off in regards to their disregard for LSU to each his own but why steer these kids away.

WTF is wrong with Byron Dawson? If he steers kids away from LSU, he sucks.

Don't care for the kid, but since he still has a chance to carry the ball in the Super Bowl this year, I would assume he's not second guessing earlier decisions.

Certainly not the best example out there.

What?

Great example, not only did he miss out on a national championship, he didn't win any awards or make any type of impact on the college level. He had 15 tds in his entire career. Ridley had 15 this year.

He was the #2 player in the country. And his chance to carry the ball in the superbowl is kind of slim considering he only had 4 games this year in which he had a carry including the playoffs.

right, because top level ACC DEs/ pass rushers don't get drafted highly or do well in the NFL.

Outside of Hester, has there been any Evangel player that attended LSU who amounted to a hill of beans? Byron Dawson didn't do squat at LSU so maybe he has an axe to grind for that reason. As long as West Monroe keeps sending their kids to LSU, who needs Evangel?

JM is the most over hyped players to ever come out of Louisiana. May Forte> Joe McKnight. Much more production than hype.
What can JM do to stay on NFL roster? What did he do at USC?

I hope you're wrong, but I think you're probably right.

He's played it frighteningly close to the vest; makes me think he's leaving the state.

He would be a huge loss. Much bigger than Robinson or Reed in my opinion.

I think Sentimore will bite us in the arse too. He had the quickest first step for a defensive tackle I've ever seen.

It probably will BUT

If my memory serves correct, he really did have grade issues which might explain why LSU wasnt on him hard till the last minute. Besides the kid did like LSU but he bought in to $abuns BS about not breaking a promise.....What a joke.

Yeah I don't feel good about our chances of getting him and haven't for the entire process. I really hope he proves me wrong because he's a very good player, appears to have a really good head on his shoulders, and would appear on its face to be a guy that Miles would really relate to. But the fact that he's been so close lipped makes me believe he's just trying to stifle the heat until he eventually goes elsewhere.

I have a lot of respect for the talent at FSU, but I don't understand a top ranked guy passing up the chance to play at LSU when it offers as much as FSU if not more.

Hope he stays home.
