Miller getting "homesick" also coincides with Spring practice where he is getting his first real exposure to coach grimes rather than recruiter grimes.

Auburn's spring practice doesn't start until March 23rd.

I'm amazed that Miller has met "a-hole Grimes" during spring practice when they haven't even started up yet.

Roger,

He was an LSU commit until LSU pulled his offer

to try to save a spot in January for GUNNER.

He knew what he wanted. LSU.

We never pulled his offer. We just asked him and Dwayne Thomas to enroll a semester later in the summer. We had 6 EE and Apparently long snapping is a huge deal this spring.

So we basically pulled his EE offer?

Could it be that he such a big "a-hole" that it stood out before practice?

If you really would rather say that LSU "pulled" his offer to enroll one semester early to prove a point, then you are technically correct. After seeing horrendous QB play for the last 4 years and then the nation's #1 pro-style QB wants to commit on the understanding he gets to enroll early, guess who's going to get to enroll early. If Gunner would've left because Miles wouldn't bend instead of Mamma telling him to stay home, Les would've been tarred and feathered.

Or if Gunner hadn't been re-recruited because there was actually no EE spot available for him, no one would would know the difference.

It doesn't matter if anyone knows because he's a take. LA produces an elite QB maybe twice a decade. If a prospect like Gunner comes calling for a spot, you make him a spot.

I don't necessarily disagree. But if you are gonna do that and go back on what you told another commit, be prepared for the PR backlash is all.

Victoria Lowery got an academic scholarship and in-state tuition at Bama. I'm pretty sure they could make something happen for Patrick Miller at LSU for one semester.
How do we know Victoria Lowery didn't legitimately qualify for it? Do you know what her grades, scores and extracurriculars were? Even if LSU does offer him in-state tuition, that's nearly $10,000 out of pocket, and he cannot receive any institutional financial aid. The cost of dorms, meal plan, books, etc. does not change if you qualify for in-state tuition.

If you can afford to be in that situation, you are obviously a different case than most LSU students.

If I'm a gifted athlete and given the opportunity to play football on scholly for LSU but would cost me one semester out of my pocket, I'll gladly pay. But that's just me.
Yes, that is just you (and me). But we are die-hard LSU fans who (just by example) probably pay hundreds of dollars a year just to find out recruiting information and watch 5 minutes of spring practice videos. Patrick Miller is not one of us.
