Hey Chris, Cam Robinson was meltdown worthy. A good receiver when three good receivers are already committed is not. Thanks for checking out our board. At least we let Bama fans post on ours.

I'm not mad they want to go elsewhere, just have been upset with some of the stated reasons at time. I have nothing negative to say about Devonta Smith though. At least he's not stringing LSU along and he's being mature with his process. You don't want anyone who doesn't want to be here.
When kids say they are making a "business decision", they are saying that even though this has always been my favorite school, "the situation is not ideal for me." Business decision is their way of saying, "I have to take the emotion" out of it. It amazes me when fans get upset at this phrase. Best Fit (business) vs. Favorite School (emotion)

Amite is crooked and paid for anyway
If lsu starts getting amite kids on a regular basis, then you know that something is shady

Calling Chris Hale a Bama writer is an affront to actual writers.

So we don't fit his style? What style does Miss State and Nebraska run?

Not even close. Smith is the top receiver on most SEC school's recruiting board. Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley good.
I don't know about Amari Cooper level good because those are some big shoes to fill. Since we are beating a dead horse, I could care less if he shops was Bama. The kid is a special talent but it looks like we are recruiting size and speed now. We have done a great job of this the last 2 classes and are on track to continue this year. When we have guys like Jazz Ferguson, Dee Anderson, Sullivan, Drake Davis and the kids for this class, what else do you need? We aren't a 5 wide spread them out team so why kept pouring scholarships on receivers???
The key is to recruit needs and Devanta Smith is not a need this year so why waste time on him? We NEED LB's, RB's, S's and linemen. Why waste energy on chasing a WR when we should be pouring all resources into:
Wilson
Chris Allen
Dylan Moses
Another OLB
OT
Akers
2-3 safeties
We need to focus on building a defense to stop the power run of Bama and Arkansas. If we can do that then we can worry about how Smith matches up to our CB's one on one. Until we are able to stop the power run, Smith is the least of our concern.

Take the scholarship and go grab another linebacker.

LSU averaged more yards per game than Alabama last year. Not sure why the perception is that Alabama had a dominant offense in 2015.

He's very shifty.
I trust Jimmy's evaluations. I know there's a ton of hype around him. Especially with how he does in the camps.. and I'd love to him, but I'm not going to be upset if he doesn't want to be here.
Speedy Noil, another fast shifty receiver was actually ranked the #1 receiver.. Smith is ranked like 10th. Yes, rankings aren't everything..
Speedy hasn't really lived up to the hype, but of course he's had off the field concerns. Any ways, I say that to point out we got Malachi Dupre who was highly ranked and right behind him, and he has been tremendous for us.
We now have Ausbon, who is ranked right behind Smith. He may not be as shifty, but he has incredible range, stronger, and can really go up and get the ball. He really reminds me of OSU's Michael Thomas.

I know right.. and they didn't have to go up against Alabama's defense.. which would really hurt their stats.
I don't want to give this guy clicks, but look at this gump.

I actually would prefer this board did not so much. Maybe a few. But as soon as one is like the dude you pointed out, maybe not be as liberal with it. One of these days a LSU board won't let them post. Kind of surprised he has not happen so far. But then again...not really:).

Or 1) they feel a certain school will best prepare them for NFL. and/or 2) they are getting paid good mullah under the table or being taking care of in more ways than one. In other words getting 'handled.'
I don't blame the D. J Flukers of the world. They are just human. Its the meat market mentality of CFB and the world in general.

Feel like the shock of actually getting him is making people overlook him. This guy is really legit.
Like Laquan Treadwell type of legit physicality wise. He wont burn past you, but he will physically dominate smaller CBs. This is exactly the types of receivers we've been getting. Every single commit this year and last year is/was at least 6'2 and 185+. No slight of build guys and no short guys (or even average height). Even go back to 2015 and only Derrick Dillion doesnt fit the mold of the guys we are bringing in.
This worst part about losing Smith is he is going to Bama. I think by his sophomore year he will be getting Ridley/Cooper/Jones type numbers there as the primary target. I dont think Bama will have a guy near as talented on the roster by that point, so unfortunately we're going to have to figure out how to contain him.
I think Charlot was very overrated. Cam Sims has proven to be pretty overrated. Bama didnt really sign an elite WR in 2016 class. Tyrell Shavers is committed for 2017 but is a huge project, and may not even make it to Tuscaloosa due to baseball. Smith has it really set up for himself at Bama by the time Ridley leaves. Hard to fault him choosing there.

Smith is a good player that has dominated on the 7v 7 competition . I wish him well but never against the TIGERS !
