His offer list is depressing

Meh. He fits our offense. He may never amount to anything or he could end up like another former number 23 ranked qb whos offer sheet consisted of UTEP and a CUSA TCU named Andy Dalton. Derek Carr was the number 29 pro style qb. Offered by SMU, Utah and Fresno State. Greg McElroy was ranked higher at 11 but other than Bama his offer sheet (especially in 2006) wasnt that great Alabama BYU Colorado N. Carolina Stanford TCU UNLV. TCU wasnt power 5 yet and Stanford was pre Harbaugh.

Ive come to the conclusion that fit is more important then anything else when it comes to qbs. He may not come close to the above names, but I think he has as much or better chance than many 4-5 stars who have been on our board because he wont have as much of a transition to our offense.

You're not alone. Most on this board would flip if they knew Wudtee was higher on LSU's board than Scott. Solid intel confirmed this.

Never was that impressed that Scott would be a quality QB the next level.

I'm not saying I think he's going to be bad or anything.

I meant I'd be depressed, literally, if I went to any school he's been offered by other than the NC duo.

Sign this kid up - along with Scott. That'll give us 3 QBs with some prep for 2017. We need depth at this position badly. If you think not, then OSUn, Baylor, and Notre Dame say hello.

The same must be said by all prospects. You never know how any of them will perform on a large stage. What is fact, is that while he was on the same stage as those discussed here, he out performed them, while level comp that cannot be questioned.

According to dandy don he got invited to the elite 11 camp and won some awards at the Nike open in Oregon. To hell with his offer list and 3 star ranking, this kid is just what we need! Flip city!!!!

He finished 2nd in the elite 11. Ahead of Shea Patterson, Franks and Haskines. Behind the kid committed to Texas. Honestly think he would be perfect after he sits the sidelines for a while.

If your going to sign a 'pro style' he better be a 5 star. Immobile QB's are made to order to be destroyed by the better defenses, like bamas. Still would take him and another QB or any two QB's who are willing to commit to play in our offense. WE just need bodies at this point. Sign this guy and Scott and I'm OK with it. About all we're going to get at this point anyway (if we can get anyone).

The Mannings, Tom Brady, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Matt Stafford, Phillip Rivers and countless others disagree with you....and they are playing against NFL defenses.

That alone would be a huge improvement.

Paxton Lynch at Memphis had virtually no offers.

Justin McMillan didn't have any real decent offers either.

you never know when you are going to get a diamond in the rough, so might as well sign him, and Scott also, just to increase the odds. Plus we need some options that aren't so green for when Jennings, Harris, and Eitling all leave after the 2017 season.

One of games I watched, they said the staff signed him without ever seeing him live or throwing a pass. Film only.

I like the film on the kid. He looks receivers off frequently. He throws to the back pilon. He reminds me of the Michigan stat qb. Pennsylvania is known to produce qbs.

Most five star qbs these days dont produce as well as three stars.

Couldn't agree more, if you look at this kids hudl film it actually looks pretty good, now i realize that you are only going to see his highlights not his lowlights but the kid looks the part. I am not saying he is going to be the next Peyton Manning, but he sure has a lot of the characteristics. Stands tall in the pocket, doesn't get flustered, goes through his progressions, good footwork and he has a pretty quick release along with he works under center as well as from the shotgun.

My personal feeling is this kid good be pretty good and if we sign him we will forget all about, shite what was that kids name? See already forgotten about him!!!

We have more of a shot at Haskins after the dead period than most think.
