If all of Andrew Slater's predictions involving us come true, we will land Robinson and also land Days, Leblanc and Reid in next year's class. Let's hope he's right on all that.

If this is true and we finish that 2018 class with Reid, Days and LeBlanc, to go along with the sitting out Bigby-Williams we have a very deep tourney run ahead of us

Andrew Slater said on twitter that he would be surprised if he doesn't end up at LSU. There's also some wku insider saying it's down to us and UK

The question becomes would WKU release him to both LSU and UK, or just one vs. the other...or maybe they are hardlining this and not releasing him to force him to sit out.

Sounds like his fate is in Stansbury's hands.

I can't imagine the hell that is being in that position.

There is no reason they wouldn't release him to LSU other than to just screw him over because he screwed them over and that would look real bad on their part. I would understand them blocking him from going to another Kentucky school, but not to move back home

I agree that they wouldn't do it for any other reason than to spite the kid.
but.. Unless basketball is under a much more intense microscope than football, I disagree that it would really make them look bad.
We blocked Willie Allen from transferring to TCU like 2 months ago and the only negative reactions were from the bammers on SECrant saying "processed."

In this instance he has no one to blame but himself. He chose to follow his godfather to WKU because he got hired there. When he resigned from the job a month ago, he decided he was still going there. He went there and enrolled in classes then decided it wasn't for him.

I mean, if I'm the school I'm thinking about making him sit out as well. He really screwed them over when you think about it. They gave his godfather a job just to secure him, the godfather leaves, then the recruit says he'll stay, enrolls in classes, then suddenly wants to leave to.

Orgeron felt TCU was recruiting off of our roster

I would say that the lack of negative press surrounding it (aside from the regularly scheduled Jay Bilas tweet) suggests that the media found some "off the record" validity to it.

O said TCU recruited Willie off the team. That's illegal and it's understandable to tell tcu F you for that.

Mitch should have never enrolled at WKU, but running off his godfather before the season after he signed is just as, if not more dirty than Mitch's decision.

Basketball recruiting is also nearly 100% about relationships. Some of these kids are basically told where to go and just follow. If he screws over one recruit, it can really damage any relationship he has with the recruits AAU coaches and lead to him missing future guys. Not smart on his part to say "we are going to take away your college career because you changed your mind last minute"

They have rules against moving home without notifying the coaching staff? Who knew?

This sounds like one of those jaded exes:

Ok. Thanks for the insight.
I do not follow basketball recruiting very much at all. Obviously, Wade has brought some more excitement to this area for LSU, and this whole Robinson situation definitely seems pretty unique.
I guess not nearly as "cut and dry" as Willie Allen/TCU.
