At least we won't be here after 2012 is over according to the Mayan calendar.

Does he have an offer from either school? I think not.

I don't think you can officially offer juniors yet.

Guy just ran a 4.81 (40) at the UA combine...What skill position is he going to play?

He is still young but I was thinking the same thing. He is a very good football player.

Slow as ghetto kool-aid. He won't make an impact at all.

Yea, I don't think anyone ever thought Diarse was a blazer. That might hurt his stock with some teams. That kinda reminds me of that Dixon WR we recruited awhile back. Dude was a baller but could never see the field for LSU. Was way too slow for a WR. Eventually he just transferred.

4.8 does seem slow for a skill position.

Saban will continue to come into La and take players, but only a few a year hopefully. The success rate even under Saban was about 80-90% of the instate kids offered stayed instate. If you look at this season, it's right on that ratio. Most likely, Phillips signs making is 16 for 19 or 84%.

The Saban thing bothers me until I think about how I use to become excited about winning the Independence Bowl. He changed the culture, set the standard and I am grateful for that, but I am ready for him to retire.

The thing about Saban too...recruits know he isn't leaving Bama. Which makes it even worse.

What a dumb arsehole. $abun himself understands that every coach eventually has an expiration and he always leaves before his. Always. Thats why there is absolutely no hooks in his contract to keep him at bama....thats why he holds all the cards....in case he decides to bolt.
LSU has done a great Job of putting players in the NFL post nicky.

In fact i would make a case that his slave driver mentality has ruined many and that there is no potential in the player left when they get to the NFL......which is why LSU players under nicky have had the rep of LAZY in the NFL....no slave drivers at that level.

BTW...thats also why he was a failure in the NFL.....you cant be a slave driver at that level.

Saban will take the top 2 prospects from LA again next year in Jefferson and Diarse. I thought LSU had a great shot with Diarse, but come on. Read those tweets. He's ALL BAMA. He threw that one tweet in so he doesn't catch shite from classmates/fans for the next 18 months.

We lose 1 game and all of a sudden we'll never get another player and should shut the program down. Some of you people need to find something else to do for a month or so or at least until rational thought settles back in.

Diarse will be at LSU this weekend. He doesn't know where he's going yet. He doesn't even have a verbal offer from either school at this point.(from his mouth) He can't go to either school without an offer. It's likely he gets one from us this weekend but there is no guarantee he will get one from Bama. In case you haven't noticed they can go after the very best players across the country and resonate with the kids. If they don't see Diarse as elite then he will not get offered. Even if he does get an offer it doesn't mean he will choose Bama. I like our chances with any kid from LA Diarse included.

The last couple of years ev erybody kept saying Auburn was going to take our stars now it's Bama. We've battled Bama head to head for quite a few players since Saban got there and how many have we lost? Bell,Devall and Collins with no backstory. Sentimore because we waited for his grades. Sylve because of some other issues. We never even tried to flip him. Yet somehow we still are loaded with talent. Just relax and let these things play out. Diarse is a kid. As most of us know kids these days have very few loyalties and allegiences to sports teams. They ride whoever is on top at the moment for the most part.

If those are the top two prospects in the state next year, it will be one of the weakest years for Louisiana.

I see a lot more Jonathan McKnight and Terrance Broadway than Landon Collins and Rueben Randle from those two.

Saban is recruiting these guys sooner than we are, plain and simple. Collins was sold on Bama before we ever recruited him. I'm afraid Diarse is too.

Here's the good news, no one beat us to Leonard fournette.

Surely he has been clocked in the 40 more than once--is that 4.8 considered reliable? Also, it is very pre-mature for anyone to speculate this soon about Diarse or most other juniors, except those very few who have already declared for some school.
