In pregame warm-ups maybe.

I highly doubt he'll touch the field for the next few years, but I actually think the kid has some potential based off of his highlights. His arm motion needs a little work but he has touch and pretty good presence. One play in particular i watched that made me a believer was he threw a 30yd td pass after looking off a safety and coming back to his left to make a prefect pass. I'd challenge you to find a play where either of our current QBs did that.

It's an interesting prospect to follow.

You know we have all seen these smaller qbs for mid majors throw it all over the field and you wonder to yourself:

"He's lighting it up over there, I bet he'd do just fine with an Sec Oline and four star receivers"

Or are you of the variety that says:

"He's lighting it up over there, but I bet he'd get eaten alive by sec dline and dbs".

It's a good question since we have seen guys in college mid majors set these silly records that will never be broken, then again, they get eclipsed te next year by some obscure schools qb again.

247 has him with a 7 for arm strength, but he seemed to throw that last TD in his Jr year video 50 yards without a lot of effort. He's impressive all the way around.

This board is sleeping BIG TIME on Justin McMillan.
I wonder how many would disagree if they watched Fox Sport SW (Cedar Hill vs Katy) this Saturday.

Well buddy unfortunately the confidence level to develop a QB with his skillset is very low amongst most fans, with good reason.

I'm not sleeping on the guy! And the biggest myth here is that the only reason he has good passing numbers is because of Lodge being the WRer. As I've stated before, it works both ways. Lodge indeed can go up and get "the jump ball" pass. However, McMillan has to throw an accurate 50 yard pass for that to happen to begin with right. Also, Lodge cost McMillan 100+ yards of passing in the 2nd half of the Southlake Carroll game when he dropped 2 long passes thrown right to him and uncontested.

You can tell the trolls or ignorants here. Some say he will play DB....some say his motion is bad like every HS QB out of HS comes out polished , and some act like he will never see the field. Perhaps these blowhards should actually watch multiple games of his like I have before they display their stupidity about the guy.

I hate when people start their comments with "Well buddy" and then say something pessimistic masquerading as wisdom. It's like a Sadsack version of Deep Thoughts By Jack handy-Recruiting Board Edition.

Just watch the game and enjoy this under-rated kid's mad skills and undeniable leadership abilities.

Got that, pal?
Understand, buddy?
Capiche, amigo?
Wakata, Tomodachi?

You left out one thing that is absolutely clueless about these posters. What these "buddies" seem to leave out are that the vast majority of teams have QB issues. Remember when Kenny Hill was "Kenny Football" and was a Heisman candidate? Even before his suspension for 2 games, the guy was losing his starting job at A&M. REAL college football fans and not just 8 year old whiners know that almost every college team has QB problems. Blake Sims at Alabama was about 1 game away from being benched. MM at Missouri has been up and down like a yo-yo. Jeff Driskell was predicted to be the best QB in the SEC this year by many analysts. He couldn't even keep his job at Florida and literally booed off the field.

I feel very comfortable myself with Jennnings, Harris, and McMillan as the 3 scholarship QBs next year. Oh, and for the record, WRers who run the right patterns, recognize they are the hot receivers on blitzes, and don't drop pass would help LSU tremendously.

I'll wish him success as an LSU Tiger but I'm pulling for the Katy Tigers this weekend.

Anyway, Cedar Hill beat Katy in the 6A championship last year.

My prediction....Cedar Hill will beat Katy again this year. Katy was darn lucky to beat the C. Steel HS last week. Cedar Hill has too much offense...McMillan, Lodge, the 2 RBs, the 2nd string QB who is faster than any of them. Cedar Hill....BIG!

If Les had a better track record of finding diamonds in the rough at QB, I would be optimistic, but alas, he doesn't, so I am not.

Well, we have Cam, and he does the QB scouting and the QB coaching. You don't have to worry about Miles knowing anything about finding QBs.

History is generally speaking the best guide for the future. Honestly, Les' track record at finding a winning QB is pretty bad. Now, I like Les and I am glad he is our coach, but that is just honest criticism.

You want to say that don't worry about Les' 10 years at LSU, we've got Cam now, well, the only QB that I am aware Cam had a hand in recruiting was Brandon Harris, and in his one and only start, he looked like sh*t.

Again, I have high hopes for Harris, but until he sees the field against a team with a pulse at some point other than garbage time, I will withhold judgment.

Once again, there are very, very few schools that have a very good record with QBs. One question to all you supposed QB experts...if there have been so many great college QBs, then where are they in the pros. It is laughable on Sunday to watch all but a handful of teams play Quarterback Musical Chairs with their starting QBs and most of the time, injuries have nothing to do with it. But hey, if you must whine about something, I guess you might as well pick QBs. All I can say is that LSU has mostly signed 4* guys from HS. QB is simply the hardest position to project from HS to college.

IMO, the best LSU QB since Tommy Hodson would have been Zach Lee. I saw him play multiple games in person and he had it all....intelligence...cannon of an arm...great mobility...looked off receivers...threw a nice fade route which means he had touch....good, timely decision making...etc, etc, etc. But yeah, it was clearly Les Miles fault that the Dodgers owner paid Z Lee $5,000,000 when that spot should have been $1,000,000 and that Z Lee had a great SR season when his baseball projected round was like the 5th after his JR HS baseball season. Clearly Les Miles fault all of that happened.

You seem to be missing the point, Sport. No one is arguing that other schools put QB's in the pros year after year, I would limit the discussion to college, and the fact remains that Les has a bad track record of getting production out of QB's that he has recruited. JaMarcus and Matt were already on the roster when he got here, and both had great college careers. After that, we really only had a season and a half of solid QB play (end of Mett's junior season and his senior season, which, while it wasn't perfect, was an overall success).

So in 10 years, Les has recruited one good college QB, Mett. That was my original point, and it still remains a fact, regardless of how many other schools have had trouble finding good QB's. You listed a number of examples of failed college QB's, yet there are also, lots of examples of coaches getting good production out of QB's who were relative unknowns in high school (e.g. Nick Marshall being perhaps the best example lately).

Careful man! Beckham and Landry were the WRs in both the Arkansas and Iowa games in 2013. There wasn't much difference in those two games than the 2014 season.

Nooooo, once again, Zach Lee would have been a fine college QB and that was under Miles tenure. And once again you seem to think LSU is unique in having trouble finding decent QB play. Hell, Notre Dame has been musical chairs when it comes to QBs. So has Florida... so has Tennessee in the last several years...so have dozens of others programs that are in the top 30 or so football teams.

And BTW, psst, here is a secret if you haven't heard but please don't repeat this. LSU is a run first school, and I have 0 problem with that. Sooooo, for you pooh-poohing LSU's supposed bad recruiting at QB, guess what...every game LSU plays on TV they brag about LSU running backs and how many they have that are quality backs. It is always going to be harder to not only recruit QBs but to give them game experience when the handoff is the preferred play.
