Good read for those unfamiliar with LSJ. I hope he turns out to be a stud for us! He has all of the intangibles. Between him, Etling and McMillan I think we'll be alright once Harris is gone.

If the offense changes (big if) this guy can be successful for LSU. Happy to have him on board

that's quite a trio there

Etling has the same amount of eligibility left as Harris.

I thought Etling was going to be a redshirt sophomore next year. So that's 3 years.

And only one of them can be the next Stephen Rivers

Does he really have a photographic memory?? If that's true I wonder what kind of advantage that gives s guy when reading coverages or recognizing patterns or tendencies. That's very rare. I'm assuming that would be in print if he literally had a photographic memory right?

Peyton Manning has that I believe

Don't forget Lowell Narcisse next year.

Lowell isn't an LSU commit.
Yet.
Yet.

Well, he has an offer from Harvard, so...

Like. I appreciate JS' perspective.

I strongly doubt he has a photographic memory. He is a good football player and from what I hear a good smart kid,
Edit: I agree with Walrus, Shouldn't be talking about the kids ACT score.

He does have a photographic memory. Only problem is everyone in his head has red eyes.

I know a couple people who weren't very bright at all and lucked up and scored a 30 on the ACT and I've known very very smart people that barely made over a 20. So ACT scores can be very deceiving.

So basically he's a perfect prospect minus height. I'll take him. And he has a better head on his shoulders than Shea.

Nice article.
I wish he was a little bit taller, but he sounds like a baller....

Generally they are a good indicator of natural intelligence, much like an IQ test. There are exceptions of course.
They are not at all an indicator of future success though, because I know many people who scored highly who did not finish school and many people who were barely in the 20's who graduated and got high paying job. It's all about the work you out in.
Scott is a smart kid, there's no doubt about that. I think some people just see that Harvard "offer" (they can't offer athletic scholarships, but they will make it easier for you to gain admission if they want you to play sports) and assume he's a genius.
